Some Logitech Gear - 100% Cashback Via Online Redemption - Starts 1 Feb 2011

4040

Some Logitech Mice, Keyboards, Webcams, Headsets and Cooling Pads are able to claim 100% cashback from Feb 1

see the website here
http://www.logitechcashback.com.au

still not a bad deal - given that after cashback, you essentially get the product for free

The stickers are on ALL the products at Dick Smith Arndale - and on the sticker it says, "Purchase me and receive 100% cashback". The upload is a photo of the sticker itself. I got excited as I thought I could pick up a logitech steering wheel with the cash back, but upon upon further investigation, I can see that only a limited number of products are included in this deal.

Only applies to these old models but 5 per household is not bad.

M100 wired mouse
M215 wireless mouse
K200 keyboard
C200/C210 web cam
Clearchat style headset
MK250/MK260 wireless combo
N100/N120 cooling pad

$300,000 is available for the cashback. If there are just 3,000 customers, so far, who know about the deal, that's about $100 each.

So, just a heads up there is a chance you won't get a cashback

  • Hello friends,

    I just ordered 2x MK250, M215, K200 and C200 via JB Online.

    Payment Method: Credit Card
    Shipping Method: Australian Shipping

    Order Status: PENDING

My Billing and Delivery Address is Northern Sydney suburb.

    1. IS JB-HIFI delivery for online purchase if FREE ?
    2. I used that 7digit ORDER ID from JBHIFI Tax Invoice to input for RECEIPT NUMBER in the claim form, is it correct ?
    3. How much it would cost for registered post mail from Northern Sydney ?
    • Jenny
    • unlucky. peril with online orders. can't return physically until received

    • I have received an Unique claim number tnrough email "Logitech Cash Back Promotion - Your claim has been lodged successfully"…..

      • looks like you got it. PS no need to put your name after each comment

        • i did the same. i put the order number in as the receipt number. I can't see why it won't be accepted as it's a unique number to my order but still I'm a bit worried.

        • Can we use JBHIFI's online purchase receipt as "original purchase receipt" in our outgoing register to Logitech ?

    • Just use your order number as the invoice number

  • Hi Jenny,
I think you're a bit late now. May be best to cancel your order unless you're prepared to pay for them.

    • Hello DKC,
I have received an Unique claim number tnrough email "Logitech Cash Back Promotion - Your claim has been
      lodged successfully"…..

I am not sure, what you mean by "bit late", what did I miss here?
I think my claim is lodged successfully as per the email? Please tell me.

      • Jenny.
      • looks like you made it! Just that judging by the time you made that post, I assumed that at that time you were still making the JBhifi order and haven't submitted the claim - that's why I said it's a bit late.
        Congrats

      • You need to send an original receipt and they will match this with the claim form based on the receipt number… No match, no cashback…

  • damn… just got home from buying 300 dollars worth of stuff for myself and my girlfriend and the parent…. now what am i going to do with it … :( sigh… gonna have to take it back

    • ebay it you paid $0 for it anyway :P

      • no, i mean i just missed out, it was down to 4000 when i opened the webpage, then it rejected me after i filled in the forms… :(

      • +1

So next time just get one product and rush back you could have filled the claim just in time. :-)

        • yeh i guess i'm too nice sometimes…

    • Your girlfriend can console you or give it to her for Valentines Day ;-)

  • Guys, check this out LOL http://apcmag.com/Content.aspx?id=6992

a snippet of some of the funnys…

Logitech is positioning the promotion as a thankyou to consumers "for supporting us here in Australia, so we’re giving them their money back in February," Logitech Australia Director George Saad said in a statement. "[

The promotion will run from February 1st until February 28th or until the $300,000 kitty runs out - so don't get caught snoozing, people! (This writer is leaning towards the laptop cooling pad, personally…)

The best tip is to make yourself start that process as soon as you get home from your shopping trip (and before you start playing with your newly purchased goodies).

    01 February 2011, 1:33 PM (4 minutes ago)

  • Now that was fast. So much for the plan of buying crap after work. Should have gone to officeworks at the crack of dawn. Here's hoping for another similar promotion soon!

    • did that, got the stuff

  • What's the deal with warranty? We need to send our original receipts in an some stores don't take photocopies as proof

    • you will get your receipt back after they process it

      • and they will mark it as "Claimed" so you cannot get refund from it.

    • +1

      What’s the deal with warranty?

Full refund if the item fails during the warranty period…

  • Missed by about 5 minutes, now I have 200 worth of redundant Logitech to return. Funnily, at DSE I thought the OzB crowd had turned up but thankfully it was just queues of people panic buying batteries before the cyclone ;)

  • +28

Well it was a hassle setting up 20 PO Boxes, but it allowed me to score 100 items that I had purchased from a mate who works at Officeworks and reserved heaps of the items for me. Just had to give him a small cut of what I make.

    $115 x 20 = $2300

Take away $25 x 20 for PO box fees

Take away $50 for what my mate asked for reserving the products for me.

Total earning in one day = $1750

Who was it that needed that home loan again? ;)

(In all seriousness I didn't even touch this deal)

    • lol :)

    • +6

Broden FTW - classic. As long as you donate the funds to flood relief

    • Ahaha, cool story bro

    • and the cost to set up those 20 PO BOXES would have mitigated your profit…

    • You haven't count the money you can sell your winnings from?

      • of coz he has. You can't make money (ie cash) out of this deal unless you sell them.

    • Wouldn't be surprised if someone did this :P

    • Faulty story… it's 5 claims Per HOUSEHOLD"… unless they can't PO Box addresses?

      • And now to multiply your money, go put it all on lucky 11 :D

    • +1

someone should put the word "Broden" on urban dictionary

      • +1

        Ha, that prompted me to have a look. this is what i found;

loves to sing his favorite songs, but only the first line of the chorus over and over and over.

will leave a bag of garbage on the stairs for months at a time until a friendly aquaintance feels sorry for him living in his own filth and cleans it up.

funny pothead who loves getting high.

        Sorry Broden ;)

Oh boy, what a day. Woke up at 6:30am, got to OW 7:04am, everything was gone bar the CCHS. Next I went to kmart, got the last M215. Went home, claimed CCHS on home computer & M215 on the phone, reserved N100 at DSE, then opened the M215, the nano receiver was missing!!! So lucky I checked. Anyway, went back to kmart and returned it, proceeded to myer to get another one for an extra $1, everything turned out fine, claimed it via maccas wifi :) Picked up the N100 at DSE, claimed at the computers in the local library when there was less than 10k remaining in the countdown.

So in the end, got everything I wanted :)

    • Congratulations.

    • +2

      I salute your effort.

      • lol me too

    • u the man!

    • Gotta love the determination of these ozbargainers haha!

  • +4

Aww Goddammit. I was filling out the form and rung their help line to figure out which number on the receipt to enter and then went to click Submit and I get a runtime error now it says all funds are gone… What a waste of 3 trips to the shop. Only bought one MK250)
To all the people who bought 5 products you'll never use just because its free. I hate you and wish aids upon you all lol

    • +4

Personally i think they should have limited it to one item, two tops.

  • +4

Anyone else think of OzBargainers [like this](http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=PBz… "Freeding Frenzy").

    • +1

That's more OzBargainers in response to a Catch of the Day post.

    • yeh… was a bit full on. Imagine that we just cleared $300,000 worth of Logitech stock!!!! It's nuts.

  • dammit just missed out.

  • I was very busy at work and was not able to get on to the web until the last minutes. It has $12000 left. I went to JB Hifi website and order 5 items. Bloody form that does not accept landline phone number. I was scratching my head for a while before I entered my mobile phone number and it finally went through by a hair line.

  • Gots me a N100 cooling pad, the M100 wired mouse, C200 webcam and MK250 wireless combo.. perfect.. Thanks OP!!

    • My pleasure. Funny thing was I sat on this deal for 24 hours before I posted it. I took the photo with my iPhone at DSE arndale and sort of firgot about it. Expected someone else to post it online. I'm a bit shit at this sort of stuff. When noone posted - I thought I'd try my luck. Glad that I did.

      • I thought I have no chance. I gave up on this yesterday. When I logged in and noticing the $$ counter going down very slowly. I continue to sit on it because I was too busy. Few hours past and the fund is still available.

      • +1

Do you work at the QEH?

        • +1

I used to - earlier this year. Starting in ICU at the RAH tomorrow? Who are you?

        • I used to work at the Lyell Mc and WCH. I'll leave it at that.

        • +1

I just finished at the Womens. Livert - you've lost me

        • Good to see fellow medicos on Ozbargain.
Like you flashi007, i'm home supposed to be studying too :)

        • As am I DKC.

      • If your first post was this successful… I wonder what your second one will be like :P I'm sure all OzBargainers thank you for "trying your luck"… damn good! Best deal ever!

  • Think I'll post my stuff tomorrow. Too hot today

    • oops when I mean stuff, I mean form and receipts, sorry for misleading if you thought I was selling my items

      • +2

I only negged because I think you should suffer the heat for the trip to the post box. In respect for the millions of poor souls who braved the heat more than once on trips to the shops. :D

        • I woke up at 5:30 when the weather was perfect. Now it's so freaking hot

  • this post is not comeing as as top 5 deals anymore, is that bcos it's expired?

  • Btw, did anyone here notice the 100% cashback sticker on logitech products not eligible for the offer? I saw this at a few shops, I don't know what's up with that? Imagine the stampede if they had cashback for the Z5500s! I should've just slapped on a 100% cashback sticker on them just to pick out the real ozbargainers from the "amateur-bargainers" ;)

  • Can we use JBHIFI’s online purchase receipt as “original purchase receipt” in our outgoing register to Logitech ? OR it has to be the purchase receipt which we will get once we receive the products at home?

    • you could use any one of the two!!

    • should be the receipt you receive with the items I would say. But don't stress too much on it. As long as you have lodged the claim and can provide proof that you purchased those items (ie the receipt number provided matches) you should be fine. Some people have over complicated it here by bring all the terms and conditions and looking too much into them ie no online orders, can't be the same item and so on.

  • Did anybody notice FAQ 12 b ???

    b. only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased;

    http://www.logitechcashback.com.au/26/page.aspx?t=6e742c43-9…

    • So is there a chance some money might be returned to the kitty with false claims?

    • That means you can not claim twice for the one mouse

Eg - one cash back per mouse NOT two

      • No, it says you cannot claim more than once for each product, not each item…

ie. if you bought 2 or more MK250's you'll only get cashback for one of them…

        • your wrong.

        • -1

I'm not wrong, I'm merely posting here EXACTLY what is says in the T&C's… read for yourself…

        • +1

Nope. You're wrong. If you read through the comments on this post you can see that many people rung logitech because the wording was ambiguous. Logitech clarified that it means what I'm saying - one cashback per purchased product. Not one cashback per product type

        • and if you don't get reimbursed for more than one item from each product type, are you going to say "I read it on Ozbargain???"

All I'm saying is that it is likely they will only be doing cash back for one item, so if you don't get a full refund, don't come back here crying… If you get a full refund, great…

          because the wording was ambiguous

What is ambiguous about it? It is quite clear…

        • +1

one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased

          is different from

one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product

        • +1

I agree that the interpretation of that is that you can buy the same item more than once and get reimbursed for it.

I also confirmed by calling logitech up.

  • On my printed claim form only the claim number, email addy, name, address and phone number is shown. No receipt number or any mention of the products being claimed. Is that what it is supposed to be?

    • +1

      yes

      • thanx :)

  • That is incorrect I rang Logitech a few times and all those times I was told that you can buy the same item 5 times (of the participating products) and then claim for those 5. So it does not have to be different items.

    • They can say what they like, but if the T&C's say one, that is all they are likely to pay for…

      • That's why I rang a few times. Logitech had a number dedicated to this promotion so they should know what they are talking about. As I said some ppl here have over complicated the matter by look too much into the T&C.

        • -1

Ring up again and ask them about

          12b. only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased;

Why would they write one thing, and say something different over the phone ?

      • 12b. only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased

1 claim per participating item purchased. Does not say they have to be different products. Again looking too much into it.

        • +1

1 claim per participating item purchased.

Where did you see that ???

          The website clearly states…

          only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased;

        • unless i am missing something

          12b. only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased;

means that if you buy one product, you can't claim 5 times on that one product,

nothing in that sentence, to me, says that you can't buy five of one product and claim once for each of them…

        • agreed, it's quite clear that this T&C is to stop people submitting multiple claims for one particular item NOT to stop people claiming for multiple purchases of the same item type. i.e. 5 x any item = 5 claims (not any more)

      • 12b. only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased;

Why would they write one thing, and say something different over the phone ?

ok, this is what that t& c means. it means you can only claim the cashback for each item once, and once only. it doesn't matter if you have 5 c200 webcams, each one can only be claimed back once. this is to prevent people from claiming more than one cashback when they have only purchased one item. make sense?

        • Why would they write one thing, and say something different over the phone ?

Perhaps the staff are not aware of all the details in the conditions ???

        • ok, this is what that t& c means. it means you can only claim the cashback for each item once

i can't find a reference to that in their conditions, can you please post a link ???

all if can find is the information i posted that says only once claim per product…

  • I bought the N100 cooler from DSE today and claimed the cashback on it this morning.
What do you guy's reckon my chances are of taking it back and exchanging it for the MK250 with a scanned copy of my receipt.
I've opened it and think it is pretty crappy, I still have the box etc.

    • promotion has closed, receipts won't match…
