Some Logitech Gear - 100% Cashback Via Online Redemption - Starts 1 Feb 2011

4040

Some Logitech Mice, Keyboards, Webcams, Headsets and Cooling Pads are able to claim 100% cashback from Feb 1

see the website here
http://www.logitechcashback.com.au

still not a bad deal - given that after cashback, you essentially get the product for free

The stickers are on ALL the products at Dick Smith Arndale - and on the sticker it says, "Purchase me and receive 100% cashback". The upload is a photo of the sticker itself. I got excited as I thought I could pick up a logitech steering wheel with the cash back, but upon upon further investigation, I can see that only a limited number of products are included in this deal.

Only applies to these old models but 5 per household is not bad.

M100 wired mouse
M215 wireless mouse
K200 keyboard
C200/C210 web cam
Clearchat style headset
MK250/MK260 wireless combo
N100/N120 cooling pad

As at 30/01/2011 midnight, this deal has 2246 click throughs. Assuming others out there know about the deal, consider what happens if 3000 people have made purchases

$300,000 is available for the cashback. If there are just 3,000 customers, so far, who know about the deal, that's about $100 each.

So, just a heads up there is a chance you won't get a cashback

      • nothing is shown on the confirmation page (ie details what you have submitted) except
You will get to a confirmation page with a Unique no. and some of your personal details!

        • True. I have requested a mod delete my previous comment. I doubt Logitech will try to scam you by changing your claim details though.

        • I was expecting a page to confirm your details again (like bank details)

Some ppl are trying to make this seem more tricky that what it actually is. I contacted Logitech a few times and all those times I was told purchasing online from places like wireless 1, JB, DSE, OW are fine (just stick to the ones on their drop-down list and you should not have any problems). Also you can have the same item you don't need 5 different things. You can contact Logitech by phone on 1800 850 522 and it seems this number is set up just for this promotion which is just fantastic. Two thumbs up for Logitech!! Thanks Logitech and thanks flashi007 for the post.

  • last 100k starting soon. Make guesstimations when it will end. Mine is 1:30

    • i'm surprised. i thought it would have gone quicker.

    • Hope you didn't put the same name for both addresses.

      • -1

no, for my parents as well

        • lol your a scammmer i negged you ;) if they offer free stuff dont ruin it

  • I'm guessing 3pm.

  • +4

where is a sports betting agency when you need one…

    • that's ok, I'm willing to set the odds for OBB (OzBargainBet)

      • how much for 1:30? lol

        • -1

          a N100 Cooling pad?

  • Hey can i use a Kmart Voucher to buy the goods. I see the T&C mention no lay-by and stuff but a K-mart voucher is not layby. It's just that it says Kmart Voucher on my receipt.

    Cheers

    • i don't see why not, it is just a method of payment

  • could someone please confirm if online purchase from Officeworks is eligible?

    • yes… online purchases from DSE and Officeworks are eligible…

  • Picked up the last on the shelf MK250, N100 and ClearChat from the DickSmith Runaway Bay at about 11:15am. They still had some mice and webcams when I left, did not take them as I really did not need them.

Thanks OP, would have missed this one had you not posted it…

Edit: Oh and got the claim in no problem.

  • $787 XXX now… and its only 12: 30 EST… gosh… it might not even last to 3 pm

    • so how did logitech possibly expect the promo to last till the end of the month?

      • by us talking about it so much

        • yeah that is pretty funny. poor naive logitech.

      • don't think it's naive as it has us talking about it and clearing their stock rapidly. Think it's smart, better than a one day offer as people would get pissed off

        • Yeah, if the promotion finishes today then they just process all the claims and move on to the next order of business

      • They wouldn't care, they don't make money from 100% cashbacks. The value is having valid stickers on boxes for a month to lure other buyers/clear stock. They have advised on the sticker that the offer is only valid while money is available but no doubt people will buy the products first, then check to find out the money is gone and just keep the products anyway.

  • +6

Under "Where did you hear about this Promotion", did people select "Other" and typed in "OzBargain"?

    • i was too lazy, i just selected the first drop down item.

      • +1

Yeah I did it, maybe they'll hook us up with some exclusives next time.

  • +3

so is there going to be a flood of "unwanted" logitech gifts on ebay in 2 weeks time?

    • lol

  • Only $67,000 left out of the $300,000 available, and it is only the first day of the promo. Why bother?

    • +1

If you can't be bothered then clearly this is not the deal for you. It's actually gone down slower than many would expect.

The products are basically free lying on the shelf. If you can't be bothered to go and get them before they run out, you can at least buy them online with a few mouse clicks.

      • Yeah, I lined up at 9:00 to buy it because I thought it was going to be gone much faster, I am kinda feeling regret at not buying more now (only got 2 products) I could use a headset :(

  • I have 2 separate receipts do send them together all in one envelope or in separate envelopes?

    • together

    • You can send them together attached with a copy of the confirmation

    • send them in the same envelope… but don't forget to write the correct claim number at the back of the receipt.

  • +7

Poor cashback. Never had a chance lasting 28 days with ozbargainers on the prowl…

  • sorry friends, just want to double check few thing…plz help me…
I need to purchase these items

    MK250/MK260 Wireless COmbo (quantity -2)
    Clearchat Style Headset (quantity -1)
    c200/c210 Webcam (quantity -1)
    N100 cooling pad (quantity -2)

can I buy it online and claim here?
Which website is best for buying online?

    • Yes you can.

JB hifi online is free delivery
Dicksmith is free after certain price
      Not sure about Officeworks

But I don't think JB has the cooling pad.

    • You'll have to drop one of those items as you have 6 in your basket. If you get a receipt from your online purchase then I don't see no reason why you can't buy it online.

Dick Smiths has the n100 for 59.95 and the mk260 for 39. I bought mine from the shop so can't help you with whether the products are online or not.

      • mk250?

      • u sure its mk260???

        • has to be the mk250

  • finish?

  • Out of that $300k they've given away, I'm curious as to how many people will not claim the cash-back and not bother to send in the forms. If only OzBargainers have applied for this then they can't expect change out of that $300k :).

If only I didn't need to eat this week, then I would have been able to buy more than my MK260 and N100 that I bought :(

    • mk250?

  • +2

i will be very happy with logitech and be supporting them with future purchases. (granted of course i get my cashback without a hitch)

    • +1

I've always bought logitech and this is why i love them so much. lol. From my Logitech Z-5400 speakers to my MX500 mouse, every pepheriphal including joystick, webcam, keyboardi own is logitech. lol. I bought a M305 mouse 2 weeks ago and this promotion is a confirmation of why i love logitech so much. lol

  • i think this was a poorly designed cashback in that it's way too generous lol.
5 claims per household is heaps. But i guess it also means less backend work with verying claims when theres 1000 instead of 5000 for example.

    • I think it was just a means to clear remaining end of life stock.

A lot of people are going to miss out anyway.

People who bought before Feb 1st have already been deceived by Logitech. As Logitech did not release their T&C until Feb 1st while those promo stickers had been on the boxes several days earlier.

      • I wouldn't say logitech has deceived anyone, they clearly always stated that the promotion begins today. If anyone, retailers that have the stickers on non-eligible products are the one being deceitful

        • It was not clear as the T&C were not released beforehand.

The stickers were stuck in store on the on shelf products by the Logitech reps.

  • no stock everywhere. lucky I got some in the morning.
Regarding posting back the receipt and form, waht do you guys think about sending in as registered post mail isntead of ordinary? Ordinary doesn't gurantee delivery, if its lost then you are gone

    • +2

Logitech said they prefer registered mail. I think it is in their T&C.

      • Good stuff I think I missed that one out

        • +1

          Sent mine non-registered. I'm a tightarse.

        • +1

          @Livert,

I was the same, I am hoping all goes well.

On a sidenote, I don't get why you got negged.

        • +4

@chansthename: Lots of neg-happy people here. No big deal. Same reason this comment will be negged as well.

  • Logitech instructs to:
Click "Submit My Claim" and then print out the completed claim form

However once you click it becomes a confirmation page with unique claim number. Are we expected to print this confirmaton page or do we re-enter the details on the claim form and print that instead?

    • Just print the confirmation page.

  • By the look of things this will run out before 3pm, its down 30k in the last hour…

    • You mean 15 minutes.

      • Agree it will be gone anytime now lol

    • 1:30 it'll be gone by

  • Almost gone, doesn't even last a day :)…
It's no 1 post now, no wonder :))

    • haha yea you're right maybe around 2pm all out

  • $270,000 gone, less than $30,000 left

  • my guess this will end at 1:38 on the clock :)

  • So what happens if you bought 2 products from 2 separate places? I assume 2 different claims?

    • Yes. Do the 2nd claim from a different computer before time runs out!

      • type now

      • Ta. I was able to do it on the same PC though….

        • Same PC, did they fix it?

      • Noooo, different IPs! Different computers on same IP address won't work.

Use your phone if you have too.

        • Same PC, gone through the work proxy which is known to have stacks of IP's..maybe that's why I guess.

      • quick 18k left!!!!!

    • You need to at least, claim 2x online, not sure if you can send the printed form by mail itself on 1 envelope though :(

      • you can send them together in one mail. make sure you send it via registered mail.

  • $17k left. Wow.

  • 15.5 k

  • $285,000 gone, $15,000 left. That's $15,000 in 5 minutes since my last post!

    • +2

i'd rofl myself if it started going negative and kept on going.

  • .

  • 13k left

  • +1

My guess it will run out before 2pm. Just refreshed and went down 8K at a time.
I guess it was just a formality for Logitech to run the promo until 28th Feb.
I pity the poor people who only see the promo sticker later this arvo and buy the gear to later find out about the counter.

  • +1

lol i wonder how many of that $300,000 was claimed by ozbargainers……

    • +1

      99.99%

      • +1

Yep. The Dick Smith in CBD Melb that I went to was opening @ 9am. There were 3 peeps + me waiting at the door.

Another guy also walked in. I spoke to 2 people and they all said that they found out through "ozbargain"

the only other place I've seen this is on the Logitech Facebook page…

        • +2

had 7 ozbargainers at DSE in chatswood at 9am

  • 12k

  • Guess there will be a few return for refund later today..

  • 11k guys!!! hurry up with your claims!!!!
