We're pleased today to announce the official release of the Cashrewards Mobile App for iOS & Android. It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here. The dev team has spent months on its development, integration and testing and we couldn't think of a better place to launch it than right here on OzBargain. All we ask in return is some honest feedback via the comments in this post. Good, bad, indifferent - we want to know. It will help make it an even better product. There will be lots of new features added in future releases including in-store offers, geo-targeting, and app-to-app tracking. Facebook login is currently unavailable but will be included in an upcoming release in December. Offer ends 11:59PM AEDT Nov 16. Thanks for the ongoing support. Enjoy :)

To receive the $2 bonus, you must:

(1) Download the Cashrewards App via the main link in this post.
(2) Log in with your Cashrewards credentials (Facebook login disabled).
(3) Click 'Shop Now' from any store (your acct will be credited within 7 days of the click).

The $2 bonus will appear in your Cashrewards account as approved within 7 days of clicking 'Shop Now' from any store in the App. The $2 bonus is not stackable with any other promos, including TV ads, refer-a-friend, etc (can't be use to tip over the $10 limit for withdrawal).         That’s correct. We decided for now to make the opt-in notification feature available after a certain period of time or inactivity. May be changed to immediate with future releases.

    In the android app there were a couple of times where it kept the keyboard open when ideally it should have closed it (e.g. clicking on a store in the search results). Other than that, all good.

    Great app.

    Keyboard open as Nickj commented above.

    Also after you click through to a store there is wasted screen real estate with the top bar that has the shop name in it, and the bottom navigation bar too. Both should disappear when you scroll down, like in a browser. More space to view the shops content.

    Finally referral bonuses seem to not have an icon or label in the rewards history.

      Why are you being negged for commenting this issue?? I have the exact same problem. Does not load any store webpage in the app browser, it just loads up the CR website. iPhone 7.

    For some reason I downloaded the app last week (just randomly typed it in on the play store) and was very happy with how everything was set out. Tracking also worked without any trouble which I usually get if I use my desktop! Will be using the app from now on. Good work TA!

    It's a nice looking app, but I haven't seen any benefit over just using Chrome - I click a store and it takes me there and tracks the sale.

    I can see that CR is trying to keep the customer within the CR environment, but for me personally, that's a negative as I don't want to browse and login to websites inside an app. It's also a negative because when I'm bargain hunting, CR is only one of a number of bargain-hunting tools, so it is silly for me to stay within a CR environment. This is more a Kogan/Catch play, where customers are reeled in and think they are getting great deals (which is often not be true), but don't look elsewhere. Are you aiming this at true bargain-hunters, or the Kogan/Catch type audience?

    I might be the exception, but if I can use Chrome for stuff then I will, rather than clogging my phone up with apps that I forget to use.

    Maybe later functionality will create a benefit (or feel free to correct me if I've missed something!); I'll be interested to see.

      Controlling the environment also allows TA & crew to ensure you are not trying to purchase with adblock on, accidentally clicking to other pages, going to shopping comparison sites etc. This will ultimately ensure more successful tracking rate and happier customers.

        Although I have no issues if I just use explorer with no add-ons, clear history first and re-open explorer. And that's probably what I'll keep doing. Free $2 though.

      Where's my $2 I literally clicked on "Shop Now" 6 seconds ago on my iPhone and it still hasn't shown up!! I've been refreshing for the past 5 minutes. Must be a problem with Cashrewards. I'm going to fire a PM at TA on 30 second intervals until my problem is fixed.

    The app doesn’t work for me. When I click on Shop Now, it takes me back to the merchant page on cash rewards. Clicking Shop Now again gives me an error message that the page is no longer available 😑

    Couple of points. This looks like a good/better way of making 100% sure that the purchase is validated on mobile. Are there any plans for an iPad version? I do a lot of online shopping on an iPad because it's much nicer for browsing.

      Not in the immediate future. There’s obviously no reason you can’t install this onto an iPad and use the x2 option to zoom in. Obviously not as good as a dedicated iPad version, but usable nonetheless.

    Better, while uve spent months for this app, it's not that hard to insert a pop up saying that "youve been rewarded 2$ (which will appear on your account in several days) by installing the app.

      Second issue: if I click 'categories' and then type 'ebay' to search, i see all 3 ebay stores: Australia, USA, UK.
      However if I browse categories to 'department stores', I see 2 ebays, but I can't tell which countries they belong to.

    Probably paid for about 15 sign-up bonuses that CR hasn't paid out and on even though there is receipts, a click record and was disputed with the CW team but was rejected because there was no tracking on a $30 Cashback. Always the $100+ transactions that don't get tracked, what a coincidence.

    Dodgy as always good ol' CashRewards!

      My experience is the complete opposite. I've had hundreds of transactions go through with CR and never missed one. They've always been helpful and never done anything dodgy in my experience.

    Downloaded the app, on Android (Note 9) when submitting a claim you are unable to attach a file, the icon is there however when pressing on it doesn't launch anything to attach the file.

      Hi Akya. I'm not sure I full understand your question, so apologies in advance. But if you're asking what I think you are, you need to stay in the App and click through to the store via Show Now and complete your purchase within the native app. Not in Safari. I hope this helps :)

    I like the transition animations and it looks huge easy to navigate.

    I'll probably still stick to chrome as it had never failed to track anything, and all my user credentials are stored in my browser so it will be a pain in the ass relogging in everywhere.

    Good to see android app was kept below 17mb download.

    The free $2 puts my balance over $5. I can now cash out after about 18 months of use. Yay. It takes a long time to build a balance with 1% of ebay purchases.

          Yes. You cannot use your cashrewards balance to purchase an item directly. You need to withdraw your cashrewards balance to either your bank account or PayPal account.

      Agree. But mine says CASHREWARDS. You must be the chosen one.

      Out of my 90+ apps this is the only app named in Capitals unless an acronym is used eg BOM. Full title would also probably fit if it was in lower case. Upper case title is cut off on my setup.
