expired Amazon.com Gift Card $10 Is Now $5
This was posted 1 year 2 months ago, and might be an out-dated deal
I am aware it's already posted but the discount is activated just now and its already selling like hotcakes.. 1000's per minute
Catch - 1 per household
Limited number of cards only
P. S. Can use it in Amazon.com on selected items.. But not sure which ones
It's a amazon local deal similar to groupon.
According to ynot1985
I know fine print says 1 per house hold
but its more like 1 per amazon account.. I brought 2 with 2 different amazon emails (same address and it works fine
Thanks and cheers ynot

EDIT: huh that was odd. Just after the transaction my bank phoned me to confirm that the transaction was legit. First time that's ever happened!
alwayseric on 20/03/2012 - 18:29 ¶isnt it the gift card is linked to your account? so each time you log in one account, you can only use that $10 gift card?

Just a heads up on multiple accounts, I recently followed an epic thread about a guy that had his amazon account closed by Amazon apparently due to running multiple accounts this meant he was locked out of all of his purchased digital content. Now in the end it turned out to be a bit more complicated than that as apparently he had what they called a high rate of returns after a battle back and forth his account was reopened but it was a pia. I have 2 accounts one Aust. one US but I would be wary of running more than one in a region especially if using the same email or address or credit card details.

There's a lot of hoops to jump through just to get an Application from the Amazon appstore, that being:
- Your Amazon account needs to be American-based (i.e. you used a fake American address, phone number, etc)
- You need to use a VPN to purchase the application, otherwise you just get region blocked when you click Purchase
- I believe they check your CC to see if it's American.
It's a lot of hassle just for $5 saving.

When I purchased it already filled in my CCard details from my Amazon account, has anyone purchased using an Amazon account that didn't already have credit card details attached and if so did it then save those payment details in said Amazon account?
I have a US amazon account with no credit card attached and do not want the amazon.local payment details saved.

Promotional value expires: 3/20/2012That suggests the voucher must be used immediately…
EDIT: It looks like the voucher should be applied to your Amazon account pretty quickly. However, once applied as a gift card code, everything looks fine. I only have Australian addresses saved and the following note appears on my gift card page:
$10
"Your balance will never expire. We'll automatically apply your balance towards your next eligible purchase. "

This place only lists what can be sent overseas.

Follow this link if you want to download the Amazon Android App and get the free daily App - it worked for me - just did as instructed:

mrhorseham on 20/03/2012 - 22:56 ¶Never bought anything off amazon before, so can this be used for anything? like the maglite XL200 for example?
Thanks guys.
Now to wait for the Crucial SSD deal to come up again. People who apply this will save even more.
While you can multiple $10 cards with different accounts, you obviously can't bundle the orders together. Meaning that even though you get $5 bonus per account, you're paying for separate lots of shipping on each account. Which may be more than $5 savings.

the discombobul... on 21/03/2012 - 08:01 ¶I guess the expired tag on this will mean some yanks can get some now :)
(not actually expired :)

I'm not too fussed if it takes a few hours… but I'm a little concerned now, that I get this message:
"There are no deals of this type to show" under the Vouchers section, when before, it was being "processed". Anyone getting this?
and approx. $4.77 charged to my credit card.

It's not a huge $ deal, but is a very good deal - particularly for a place that doesn't do many deals of this sort. If you're a regular Amazon customer and know you'll make use of it (if not instantly then eventually), it's basically five bucks free for the sake of a couple of clicks.
