Diablo III Standard Edition $59 at Dick Smith
This was posted 1 year 4 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Seems to be the cheapest bricks and mortar seller but still the same price online anyway.
I don't think it's a dupe post because the last one is marked as expired but all the stores seem to have stock and say the special is for the foreseeable future

Also, a quick mention that the price for Big W's Diablo 3 commences on the 17th of May. So it would seem that you have the opportunity cost of 2 days vs 1 dollar.
I'd check with DSE if they'd match a price for a future catalogue, because as far as I can see from the website, it isn't actually available yet from Big W.

kristijan08 on 15/05/2012 - 10:42 ¶I just got mine from DSE - click and collect. It's closer than Big W so definitely not missing the $1.
Only annoying thing is I can't play until 4:30PM lol. It'd be nice if I could play it all day while I'm off sick from work :(

Don't stress. The servers do not actually go live until 5pm AEST anyhow, so you have timed it perfectly.
However with approximately 6 billion ppl trying to login at the same time, I think you have better odds of winning Div 1 lotto than getting online from the get-go. But try, you must!
illusionarybreeze on 15/05/2012 - 11:40 ¶So how is that perfect timing? The servers are not live yet, and kristijan08 is unable to "play it all day" as a result of that!

purplebangle on 15/05/2012 - 12:29 ¶A couple more CE's @ JB if anyone is interested.

Got my collector's edition today (this morning). Pre-ordered it from GAME:

I bought from DSE. Their website, click and collect, email notification and up to date pricing beats all the other brick and mortars.
Harvey's didnt email me about my pre order, couldnt confirm it on the phone, went in there and they "umm'd and ahhh'd" about price matching DSE/BigW so told em to get stuffed and went 2 mins away to DSE for a painfree transaction.
Now just to wait for 5pm. FML, longest wait ever.
+4 votesThis morning I went to the DSE on Queen St (Brisbane) and got the last two out of three copies. When they scanned through it actually came through as $105 for both…so $52.50. The woman (Lee I think her name was) working there said, 'Oh, I thought they were $59', I said that I thought the same thing and she said, 'well they scanned through at $52.50 so I have to honor that'. Was a nice little win. I think the guy behind me who got the last one got it for $52.50 also. Apparently they had already sold 46 copies by 9:30am.

Looks someone has taken the mickey out of this D3:

acidantics on 15/05/2012 - 20:03 ¶Thanks for this! i just reserved a copy from my local dick smith with click and collect.

If your order is still "processing", best you call up and get this cancelled and just pick it up from a store. I read somewhere they are not delivering until end of the week - but I can't find a source to validate this claim.
If you're doing Click and Collect, make sure it goes through properly. I did a click and collect but didnt' receive an SMS and the store didn't reserve one for me. Also happened to my friend. Nearly nerd raged when I got to the store and they ran out. Luckily another Dick smith store a few minutes walk away had a few copies left.
