Just as an FYI, mine was cheaper yesterday and if you'd like to buy directly from Amazon it's $11.95 more expensive here.

Yours it's out of stock though.

Yes yes I know, I marked it OOS. It is an FYI to let the community know that it has been cheaper. OzBargain.

    • Worth the extra hundred bucks you reckon?

      • I don’t own any so can’t give a full run down, main difference I’ve found on the listing is:

TRUEFORCE FORCE FEEDBACK: Next-gen TRUEFORCE technology connects to game engines for high-definition feedback. Experience the ultimate driving experience with processing at 4000 times per second
PROGRAMMABLE DUAL CLUTCH: Get off the starting line cleaner and faster. A programmable dual clutch simulates real race car launch assist right from the controller, when playing supported games
CONTROL YOUR GAME: Fine-tune your speed with a built-in LED RPM indicator. Integrated PlayStation 5, PS4, PC game controls, a 24-point selector and progressive brake spring keep steering under control
PREMIUM RACING DESIGN: Refreshed Logitech G gear design includes premium materials like a hand-stitched black leather wheel cover and polished metal pedals. Experience the pleasure of driving at home
ON-WHEEL GAME CONTROLS: Take charge of wheel sensitivity, force feedback levels and simulated steering. Logitech G Hub Gaming software enable button customisation right from the controller

        Ps5 vs Pc Xbox

      • I tried both and returned the G923 because it didnt work properly with raceroom racing exp.

The "Trueforce force feedback" was annoying as hell and felt way too rumbly from the motors in the wheel. Given that was the only real difference between the models I would so no, $100 extra is ridiculous.

However at $288 this G29 is a steal - dont hesitate. I have a blast with it in Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally 2

    • Yeah that was an awesome deal. It was a price error.

    • +2

I got mine from this price error. They ran out of shifters so gave me a $80 refund on top of the already ridiculous price

This was a great deal for those that got it.

Memories of going to JB to pick up during lunch break from work, then once I got it back to car was seeing all the comments of them starting to refuse the deal.

  • For those of you who have used this and the better fanatec versions, how would you rate this compared to the ones we use in those arcade games in the clubs? would the force feedback be that strong?

Also how would this compare to the fanatec here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/763683 ? 50% as good? Thanks.

    • +1

This isn't even close to anything from Fanatec. It's roughly on par with one of the entry level Thrustmasters (T248) but that's about it. You'll feel it in both the wheel and the pedals as well. That Fanatec you linked to is a direct drive unit as well, so it communicates small bumps better as well as having much more torque, just a far more realistic experience in every way.

The Logitech is great for casual racing gaming (MILES better than a controller), but even an entry level Fanatec CSL will be far, far better than this. If you're talking cheap arcade games then this is probably better, but if you're thinking the places that do proper racing simulators they mostly use the better Fanatec or Thrustmaster gear.

      • Cool, thanks for the feedback :)

What’s a good bang for buck wheel for GT7 PS5?

    • Came here to ask this too!

    • This is it.

    • You won't get much better bang for buck than this wheel at this price. If it was a small difference (as it was when I bought mine) I'd say get the G923, but this is quite a lot cheaper than the G923 currently.

  • I have this wheel, I play Initial D Extreme Stage on PS3 works well similar feedback to the arcade version

  • I wonder… how is old Eddie from Logitechshop/Fluidtek going these days?

  • It's $299 for me, the 920 is $288 though..

Need a bundle with shifter for around $300.

    • +2

I've got a G29 with the shifter. I have to say that I don't think the shifter is worth it. It just doesn't feel right compared to a real manual gearshift. Not enough resistance so you don't really have enough feedback to feel it when you put it into a gear. I just use the paddles these days, the shifter gathers dust.

  • What do people use to attach this to? I wouldn't mind one but don't have room for a full on racing Sim seat etc.

    • Desk. But you can get a wheel stand for around $100 usually

  • Got one thx !
