Acer Iconia A501 16GB 3G Android Tab $399.95 + $10.95 Shipping (Bonus Case)

I have one of these (the 32Gb version). Not bad for a 10" 3G tablet. ICS is rolling out to these in Australia right now. All the comments are a much more responsive tablet with ICS. Cheapest on ShopBot $589

  • very good tab . got mine last year from TGG for $327. just updated to ICS. i also have a new ipad but i much ptefer to use Acer over ipad.

    • Still waiting for my ICS to come thru :(

      • Also received the ICS update for my A501 last weekend.
You must install a specific "ACER Update" app to be able to receive it, I think. You may want to look into getting that if you have not yet received the update.

        • Yep, did that a couple of months ago… It is just a slow roll out process, I think so their servers dont get overloaded :(

        • Have you tried the manual "check for update"?

        • Do that 10 times a day!!
My understanding is that Acer release the update in batches, and you have to wait til your number is up. Lucky ones have theres, I must be higher in the numbers :(

    • You paid $73 less or the same model a year ago? Shouldn't prices are down instead of up?

      • Maybe not 3G version?

        • It was a special runout deal by The Good Guys. I grabbed one too, was around late October. Not really comparable in terms of the deal though.

        • A501= 3G
          A500= WiFi
here is Tab deal of the century.

        • So an A501 for $327 was a great deal.

        • Got my A501 during that deal and upgraded to ICS which came through last night. Very happy :D

  • Yer, went away for weekend. Took my tab, and a external drive of movies. Hotel TV didnt have USB input, so couldnt plug drive into TV. Plugged drive into my A501, and the A501 into HDMI input on TV and watched that way. Try doing that on ya iPad!!!

    • Agreed. A $2.70 micro-HDMI-to-HDMI cable from eBay is a worthwhile accessoire for the iconia.

    • What? you couldn't just stretch the budget a little and pay for the hotel pr0n channel rather than BYO?

  • I have one of these, but the 32gb model, used a couple times, immaculate condition, comes with case, all manuals, boxes charger etc. Message me if interested. Selling for the same price as above, $400
