Meritline $11.99USD Cartridges for Gillette (Non-Geniune) FUSION Razor (8-Pieces)

31

Now here's something different from Meritline: replacement cartridges for Fusion razor. No idea how much these things cost in the supermarket, but a quick look on eBay reveals 4pk cartridges selling for ~$14. I've still got two Fusion razors from the giveaway a while back, but haven't really had to change the cartridges yet (helps being an Asian ;)
BTW no fancy stories about Pokemon Snap this time… unless taking photos of someone shaving a Pikachu is your kinda thing…

*Mod: Edited title for reflect non-genuine blades(

  • Mmm great price.

  • It says it is 'for' the Fusion razor but I'm a little wary if they are actually the official product or just an imitation.

How cut would you be if they weren't good?

      • really cut…i made the mistake of buying ones that were too cheap to be true off ebay and i had the worst shave of my life

Knock-off manufacturers have little to no quality assurance and low manufacturing standards so I really wouldn't trust these blades.

If you've ever bought anything made of metal from any of these cheap Asian sites before then you'd know that the metal they use is pretty dodgey. If they aren't already present when you receive it, the metal frays and shards flake off/stick up after a bit of use. The sharper the corners (or in this case, the sharper the blades) the more likely it is that the edges will be frayed and cut you to pieces.

If you're lucky these might last a whole shave or 2 before cutting your face to pieces. I personally wouldn't take the risk, even if they were giving them away for free.

      • I see what you did there ;)

    • for = compatible with

who knows what they are like

      2pk works out slightly cheaper

  • 'Suit for Gillette Fusion razor' these are not the real thing, but who knows if they are any good or not..

  • Nope, these are Def not original.

its says oem, pretty sure thats genuine product but not in retail packaging. And the pics look identical to the real thing.

    • oh it does say so…, lets give this a +ve !

They would look the same even if they are knock-offs (they are). Have a look at http://fakeblades.wordpress.com/blade-comparisons/ - real blades have the SN# stamped on it. Clearly not visible on the close-ups at Meritline. No reviews as well - most popular items at Meritline do have reviews.

Suggest OP changes title to "Gillette Fusion Power compatible blades"

Yeah but 'OEM' on these cheap Asian sites really mean that they are knock-offs that are made to look genuine.

      • Affirmative !

  • +3

They are almost certainly fake, the site doesn't even claim they are genuine. Far better to wait for the next Shaver shop $10/4 cartridges deal and stock up.

If these turn out to be dodgy, will the first person to receive them please update this thread before they bleed to death. Thanks.

  • i'l bet all these are, are 40-cent blades w/ orangey plastic fastener that makes them look like they're the established/proven brand;

@11.99 =shame on this farce; but esp where risk_to_the_face_ is concerned.
