    returned trade in device in perfectly good condition a while back. no damage whatsoever.didn't get any updates or correspondence.
    checked Asurion portal, says not in good working condition and that i will not be getting refund.

      nah I'll be keeping mine I think. my current watch is Watch5 Pro LTE, and I intend to flip it, and keep the 6 classic (provided that's what they are sending indeed. who knows with samsung. it could be just a postcard in there "wish you better luck next time!")

      Agree on this. All said and done, this IS the best trade in deal.
      The wait for the watch was long (no written confirmation after jotform entry wasn't making it easy too) but it is worth it - free Galaxy 6 watch, why not!!!
      Trade-in process was flawless for me, just had to make sure the phone was packaged with plenty of bubble wraps and cardboard for protection.
      I have to give 4.5 out of 5 stars to Samsung Australia!

    Just had a 47mm LTE arrive, I'd actually given up hope and come to terms with not receiving it.

    Funny opening the box with no band inside, did they raid them to send out with paying orders I wonder?

      Yes, mine arrived - so pleased!!!

      Also just watch with no strap inside - looks like it was opened prior to sending out and had the strap removed for this promotion - unusual.

      And with sports watch band provided separately.

        Default band for 47mm Watch 6 Classic is M/L Hybrid Eco Leather Band and for 43mm is S/M Hybrid Eco Leather Band - according to Samsung website.

        When choosing for sports band instead, it becomes cheaper by $30. Perhaps a way to reduce their promotion cost? 500 times $30 is $15,000. Makes sense since they didnt promise selection of band.

        Not a deal breaker since I am planning to change the band anyway.

          The funny thing is that in my watch box, they included new/unused security seals which can simply be applied to the box ;)

            @akyeeeahdude: Good point there. I think this is more like a bespoke watch. Like those on current Samsung EEP deal. So the watch doesn't come with bands included in the box and hence Samsung gave us some options on bands. Aint half bad.

            So you can actually put your band inside, seal the box and sell it as a complete package.

      Got mine yesterday too, picked it up from the post office today. Watch6 Classic 47mm LTE with sports band in separate box. Came with a plastic sleeve around the box and the security stickers inside.

      Not sure where these are refurbished or new with band taken out before the end of the production line. The sender was 'Service Centre SOP' which to me indicates it's possibly not new.

        I tried to exchange my camel (echo leather) with the black one at samsung sydney cbd store today. they said they don't have any watch band stock for the last 1 month. honestly, they don't look like they are willing to do it for me without receipt. i was told to contact/call samsung online cs. don't think I'm going to bother contacting them.

    Nice surprise (I didn't expect to receive it as the terms and conditions explicitly excluded Samsung Education store purchases) - my watch arrived today. I didn't receive any call previously though so it was completely unexpected.

    I find it a bit strange though as my watch arrived without any seal/security stickers on the box. I opened box and the watch face had a thumb print on it and a bit of dust as well. What's strange is inside the box it came with a small plastic bag with new/unused seals/security stickers in it (which you'd expect to already be applied to the box). WEIRD!

    I got a black BESPOKE watch and a black S/M band (pretty sure I would've selected the M/L band though).

    EDIT - Got the 47mm LTE.

      Looks like most Ozbargainers did the Ozb thing and went for the most expensive option of the 47mm watch 6 classic with LTE!

      Not that we needed LTE, and even though 47mm is pretty ginormous.
      Very happy :).

          I certainly felt like this was the one to get, as I love rotating bezel, really missed it on my W5P after W4C, and the smaller option of W6C would have worse battery life, which is already rather tight. and LTE for future proof / resale value later on, so.. it was just an obvious choice

    I am wondering if Samsung is shipping returned or repaired watches to us

    I got my previous watch, Watch 5 Pro from Samsung AU eBay store, and although it was listed as brand new, it came in a "bespoke watch" case, unsealed, and I swear it wasn't brand new, as I could see it has been handled. I got it for like $300 so didn't complain, but I think they are doing something shady there and these aren't brand new.

    full disclosure I haven't received my free watch6 yet, should be coming tomorrow, but looking at the comments above, sounds very similar to my eBay purchase of W5P LTE

      Mine is brand new. Nothing to suggest it is repaired unit or otherwise. AFAIK only one reported to receive his/her watch with fingerprint, could be one off thing.

      My guess would be that they took out the default band from the box. Hence some dust may have entered during this process.
      Not sure why they would do that. Could be saving cost, plus offering less popular bands as replacement (mint, apricot, camel etc) makes sense.

      Any replacement band option, anyone?
      Preferably with one click attachment.

      You can register the device. The imei number is on the back if you can read it. Take a zoomed in photo if you can't.

        Looks like you can scan the QR code with your Samsung Members app too. All the details (model/sn/imei) are in the watch settings as well if you need.
