This was posted 5 months 29 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal

And score a flight and a hotel for a 60 dollar fee
You buy 6 bottles…you get 1 night away
But best to hook up with a friend - it doubles up to a 2 night stay
Buy the drinks now…until December
Book by new years then you travel from February til November
Ten bucks per wine…and it tastes pretty good
Throw in a holiday…tastes ten times better than it should
Check out the terms…this is for real
Don't hold back cause you should know this aint my first Ozbargain deal
http://bonusmysteryflight.com.au/terms.php
OK - now that I've got that out of my system…oh, and this better not be a dupe, cause it took me ten minutes to come up with that.
- 1 nights accommodation plus return flight for 1 person, or 2 nights plus return flights for 2 people (linked booking) in 3.5 to 4 star hotel
- $30 booking fee applies per person
- The offer commences on 1 November 2012 and closes on 30 November 2012
- Each Mystery Trip must be booked by 31 December 2012 and must be taken between 1 February 2013 and 30 November 2013 (inclusive)
- Travel ‘blackout’ periods applying including the periods between 13 March 2013 and 18 March 2013 (inclusive) and between 28 March 2013 and 2 April 2013 (inclusive)
I bought 2 x 6 packs for $120, so for me and the wife, it is a total of $180 for 12 bottles of wine plus 2 nights accommodation with return flights :)
We scored ours over a public holiday, and friends have theirs booked in the school holidays.
Took about 7 working days from first sending off for the deal to getting confirmation of our dates of departure.
The guys from the bottle shop said the Jacobs Creek rep advised the trips from Perth will be with Virgin to Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne…not sure about other cities.
The stickers may be in an envelope under the counter, although most of my friends have found stickered bottles.
Looks to be 5 different varieties of Cool Harvest:
http://www.jacobscreek.com.au/wines/cool-harvest
It's also advertised in the latest Cellarbrations catalogue…page 4:
http://images.lasoomedia1.com.au/imageicon/clb/prod/j0052293...
And no, this is not a competition - I have had 14 friends and family jump on this already, and got this response from the Jacob Creek reps:
"all participants that satisfy the entry conditions and have a valid claim will receive the offer as outlined"

andyman1908 on 21/11/2012 - 15:49 ¶He's already taken into account the booking fee in the $180 cost

It;ll probably be a red eye. I think they generally are out of perth. Those are the cheap seats.
One complaint - not against the deal, but against the rip off that is perth airport.
Let's say I go off on my own for one night. It would be three days parking, maybe ywo.
I will pay more to park at the fricking perth airport than for my ticket and accom.

By participating in this offer, a Claimant also acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of the Claimant's personal information by the Promoter is to enable the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact the Claimant in the future with information on special offers or to provide the Claimant with marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages (SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), IM (Instant Messaging) and email) or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future. The Promoter may share information with its Australian related companies or promotional partners who may contact the Claimant with special offers in this way. By participating in the offer, a Claimant acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter may use the Claimant's personal information in the manner set out in this condition.

mmh well you are giving them some pretty premium info as a part of this offer.
More likely would actually be that you get physical mail/calls/spam for life from companies interested in wine drinkers. I wouldn't bet on being able to subscribe from such either.
Put it this way - they didn't say they value your privacy, so you shouldn't expect them to.
Gringoesai on 21/11/2012 - 19:04 ¶They will sell your info to debt collectors and other companies in simple terms. Some big massive pool of data companies buy into to update their records (debt collectors) and promote products (brands + promos).
Cracking deal though
colspooners on 21/11/2012 - 16:38 ¶Hi Kirt do you know if they choose the 3 date options or do we choose them? Also is the departure city nominated by us or them? And once they have confirmed the date is it right that they dont tell you where you are going until 3 days before departure? Sorry for all the questions but I got burnt with one of these style promos years ago when I was living in the UK and got offered a flight from Manchester when I was in London…
+3 votesdo you know if they choose the 3 date options or do we choose them
You nominate the 3 dates, then they allocate you one of them. We got our third choice (all 3 of our choices were public holidays), but most of my friends got their first or second choices.
is the departure city nominated by us or them
You nominate it…there were about 10 to choose from.
once they have confirmed the date is it right that they dont tell you where you are going until 3 days before departure
Yep, although you might be able to work out the destination using the dates and times they give you ;)
bomber_bloke on 21/11/2012 - 17:06 ¶Anyone have any luck in Perth, I'm trawling stores like a down on his luck alco and haven't found any yet.
+2 votestsunamisurfer on 21/11/2012 - 16:10 ¶Better still….buy the wine, send the Missus packing and enjoy a Boys Night sans nagging.
+2 votesmatt_will_fix_it on 21/11/2012 - 16:34 ¶This is one of the best deals in a long time! Cool poem too.
+4 votesIncidentally, everyone I know who has done it so far, has scored a departure flight before 7am, and a return flight after 4pm, so you get maximum time in your destination :)
Edit:
…and a few couples selected identical dates, and it looks like they are all on the same flight.

hyacint18 on 21/11/2012 - 17:20 Comment score below threshold (-5).
+3 votesYep - you apply as individuals…input each persons details into the claim website, then send in 1 envelope each with 1 receipt and 6 stickers, then they send you an email with a link to book the dates.
Initially I was told you both have to go to that link and put in each others claim number, but we found out that only 1 of us had to do that (there is a space to input a second claim number that then links the 2 together).
+3 votesbrucefromaustralia on 21/11/2012 - 17:49 ¶Its in the deal link:
one (1) adult return economy airfare to a mystery destination in Australia from one of the following airports: Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Newcastle, Hobart, Port Macquarie, Launceston, Darwin, Cairns, Gladstone, Hervey Bay, Broome, Airlie Beach, Proserpine, Canberra, Rockhampton, Albury, Balina Byron, Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast, Mackay (inclusive of airfare related taxes and charges)
-1 voteWell in the terms and conditions anyway (that's how you work out the "mystery prizes" from a promotion since it has to be registered)
You forgot this :)
one (1) night three and a half to four (3.5 – 4) star accommodation at the mystery destination in Australia (twin share) (or similar).

I was told by the bottle shop it could be kalgoolie and Broome or geraldton also?
I was told differently, and so far none of my fiends flight times fit in with anything except for Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, so it appears to be correct.
Saying that, I'd love to go back to Exmouth ;)
Also how do you get the deal for two people can you do it under one booking? For two flights and two nights
You apply separately, then link when you pick the dates…see here:

many thanks to kirt.
just wondering.
what is the def of 'household' for claim purposes (t&c.11 - Where two (2) members of the same household wish to redeem their Mystery Trip, both members may book their Mystery Trips simultaneously in order that they will both be on the same flight and they will receive one (1) night of accommodation each, being two (2) nights in total if the two (2) members of the same household share a room.)
if the +1 has a different address, is this going to be a problem during the booking/linking process for the 2 nights? or is the linking of the claim numbers independent of address supplied at claim time?
+1 votethe linking of the claim numbers independent of address supplied at claim time?
I am certain it is this - you link the booking via claim numbers, but to confirm, just send them an email:
support@bonusmysteryflight.com.au
I've sent them about 20 emails, and they are very quick to respond ;)
+2 votesbrucefromaustralia on 21/11/2012 - 17:51 ¶Using the ING Paywave saves 5% on the purchase price of the wine. An even cheaper holiday!
brucefromaustralia on 21/11/2012 - 19:05 ¶eg $53.60 for 6 with ING Paywave at DM - if any stock with stickers.

The destination will be notified to the winner no more than three (3) days prior to the Claimant's departure date;
Most likely departure will be from a major city to a regional centre. This way accommodation costs will be kept to a minimum. Might even have to go on a propeller aircraft.
bomber_bloke on 21/11/2012 - 18:32 ¶I got told by a Celebrations that it's an online promotion and unmarked is fine but I'm not convinced
