the state (QLD) in title would be helpful

  • Only valid at Springwood Hotel.

  • The real question is do I get free nuts like I did when Loanstar was there?

    • Wish they would bring back Lonestar - so much better than Hogs Breath. Lonestar had the best ribs!

  • Hi Rep, we were planning on going to Sizzlers this weekend but we could consider Springwood Hotel. Could you please tell me what the kids play area is like, and is there anyway to see whats in the salad bar? Does it include a desert bar?
    Thanks

    • The kids play area is much like what you'd find at a Maccas or HJ's. There is a dessert bar included. The salad bar is smaller than sizzler but decent enough.

It's worth the trip to check it out so you might as well use the vouchers to go take a look, should be cheaper than a sizzler visit too.

Personally I think the selection of food and the quality of it is better at Feast than Sizzler. On top of the usual there is a cavery and roast section. The dessert area has a much bigger selection than Sizzler (and it's where I spend most of my time haha), hot desserts and cold desserts. Also has "real icecream" that comes out like soft serve. Hot drinks/post mix soft drinks are included in the price as well. Like foobar says the kids play area is similar to maccas or hjs - few connected slides and so on, there's also a couple of video games. At 25% off worth checking out…

Last week when I went, there was a pretty normal range of things at the salad bar: seafood salad, coleslaw, caesar salad… and quite a bit more.

Has dessert bar with ice cream machine, ice cream syrups, choc chips, sprinkles, apple crumble, sticky chocolate pudding, pavlova, jelly, custards, butterscotch sauce, chocolate cake and cheesecake.

May as well say what I remember them having else as well. They had pork belly, roast pork (with apple sauce), chilli crumbed calamari, wedges, chips, bbq ribs, nasi goreng rice, pizza, soups, beef lasagne and that's probably half of the stuff.

I don't remember much about what the kids play area consists of but there is definitely one there with a playground and stuff.

      • Thanks all for your replies. I think you've talked me into it.

        • For anyone who is interested - we went for Saturday lunch. There was more choice than at Sizzler, but probably overall it wasn't as appealing. For healthy choices there was pretty much lettuce, carrots and peas.
Having said that, if you're going to an all you can eat lunch, you're probably not looking to be healthy! The dessert bar was great, with some really nice things.
For the price it was great, and it was good to go, but I don't think we'll plan on going back again

  • I went there when it had just opened…and it my opinion it was extremely average. We were there an hour before the lunch run was over, and it looked like the food hadn't been replaced in ages and lots of stuff missing or not filled up. I personally didn't even eat one plate, neither did my daughter. I will never go back. Maybe I just went on a bad day??

Very average! Like a lot of restaurants in Logan it's quantity over quality.
