ParkingSpot (iOS) $0.99 -> FREE until The End of Monday!

420

My 'ParkingSpot' app (iOS) is FREE until the end of Monday! (Normally $0.99).

Never lose your car or overstay your timed parking spot again! ParkingSpot uses your phone's inbuilt-GPS to make it easy to take note of where you parked your vehicle, and reminds you automatically before you overstay your welcome (no more pesky parking fines!).

Supports multistorey mode too, so you can remember the floor / bay where you parked whilst you're busy snapping up all those other bargains at the shopping centre ;)

** Support Aussie developers, rate the app if you like it. Feedback appreciated :) **

Parkingspot supports the following features:
★ Two modes of operation: GPS (maps) mode and multistorey mode (for those underground or multi-level parks!)
★ Be automatically alerted before parking expiry, to give you enough time to return to your vehicle (customisable tones)
★ Amount of parking time remaining shown right on your homescreen! Just glance at your phone and get back to more productive things.
★ See something that will help you find your vehicle again? Capture it by adding photos and notes to your park!
★ For gps users, ParkingSpot integrates with Google Maps to provide walking directions straight back to your vehicle!
★ For gps users, poor GPS signal in your area? Don't worry, you can adjust it manually too.
★ For multistorey users, record the colour, letter and/or number of the bay where you parked! (or any combination of the three!)
★ Customise your reminders: Pick from a number of parking reminder tones to suit your environment. Set different tones for parking warning and parking expiry.

NOTE: For any OzBargainers testing it - gps accuracy won't be that accurate if you're sitting indoors (as for all gps apps). It's best to test the GPS mode outside - just as if you were actually parking your car in a backstreet. If it's in indoor/underground park you're simulating, that's what you have the multi-storey mode for!

Odds are it'll go back up to $2.99 after this free promotion as previous promotions?

All the more reason to grab it now while its free :)

    • It'll be back at $0.99 afterwards :)

I bet the developer never uses the app :). It's one of those apps that if you need it, you shouldn't be driving a car, as you have probably forgotten the road rules. I hope he has made buckets of money with it though.

I do actually use it - more for the timer/parking reminder features rather than the GPS (GPS features have been useful occasionally when i've been in unfamiliar areas). Advantage over the iOS clock timer is that this gives you multiple reminders (i.e. a warning before parking expiry so you can get back to your car - not just on expiry of the park).

  • Yeah so I've been doing this for a while.
    Its called 'drop pin'.

@glide, I don't disagree there are ways to do a similar task with the built-in apps (maps + clock/timer), this bundles it together and adds a few extra features like the parking expiry warnings (before and at expiry), minutes remaining shown on home screen etc.

Nice app. Used it a few times. Very convenient. Used to do voice recording to remind myself where I parked. Maybe you should add that as an option too.

  • Being absentminded as heck, I'll appreciate this one immensely. I never forget which parking lot I am in but I do have difficulty remembering where. I'll be using the GPS aspects for sure. Thanks, Rawr! [edit] I've just made a post in Mactalk as well, about it. :)

  • Great concept OP! I like how you can add photos, I usually just take a PIC of the sign on the column

  • Are people seriously complaining about a free app? Get over yourselves guys.
