blackout dates are so common with these kinds of deals. considering the voucher is valid for stays up to December 2013 (8 months validity), i personally find its not such a deal-breaker and the neg a bit uncalled for.
I suppose you could bring a torch on the black out days.

this is true but getting a hotel room for $120pn in Sydney at similar hotel is pretty difficult unless you do mystery hotel from wotif or inn/hostel route
better to stay at Aspire hotel in Ultimo, its a little old, but the rooms are huge with balconies!
Got a Rydges World Square room for same price. Check-in after 8:30pm for better rate. THU, FRI, SAT late check-out averages $120n. (includes 20% off www.HotelClub discount provided by OzB earlier) Better position.
