A very balanced set of headphones than its cousins the LPs and LP2s. I'd say one the M80 has one of the most likeable sound signatures for headphones under $300. The headphones exoskeleton is made from strong metal that can flex well.

Does not require an amp to drive M80s on portable devices and requires virtually no burn in time.

Cheaper than MSSRP on VModa home page of $200.

  • If i had not catch my sennheiser momentum for 209 eur, i would definitely go with this one.

  • hmmm im more interested in (Because of red)
    http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Crossfade-Over-Ear-Noise-Isolat…

the LP will give better bass, right?

    • I owned a pair of crossfade lps before sending them back for beyerdynamic cops. I found that the construction was poor, everytime I walked I would get a constant click, click, click sound. For me, the bass is overwhelming on the LPs and the vocals get really muddy.

      • thanks.. hmmm might need to try first at store then.

also funny amazon reviews, some said not leaks other said leaks

      • I've got the lp crossfades, build quality on mine was top notch. Had it for 3 years and still going.

Keep in mind, these are 'fun' headphones so dont expect a neutral signature like senns/beyers/akg/audeze

  • Not sure I've seen them on the shelf anywhere, might be a bespoke seller or 2…

  • Good price. I got these when the price dipped on Amazon in Feb. Was approx $144 plus $10 for delivery.

I demoed B&W P3s, Harman Kardon CL and Sennheiser hd25. I'm very happy with them - size works great for travel. Sound quality, build quality, noise isolation are all top notch. The sound is neutral and arguably lacks a little sparkle at the high end compared to the hd25s (which were >$50 more expensive when I purchased).

Also get great reviews on head-fi.

I own a pair of these, i believe my guinea pig trial was good since I was the first out of my friends to get it. ive never seen it in sydney but believe me m80 are def recommended.

LP has larger "ear cups" which stop all leaks and m80 is perfect size if you want to be aware of your surroundings and not get hit by a car, they also stops around 80% leaks

  • Going by reviews these sound better than the old LP model but since its on ear I think I might get a pair of LP1, that red ships to Australia? I thought the red and white dont ship to Aus?

    • so you also looking at RED?
      some can be shipped here.

i think all of crossfade model are over the ear? i can see from picture the cup is big
