Prices are really getting awesome now. Waited so long for just the 3G model to dip below $500 and now the 4G seems to live under that price mark too.

But I'll pass on UniqueMobiles, I hear most people get resealed packages which is enough to put me off.

+1 for the price though, if one sets a competitive price point, the others must follow.

  • Yep agree, im hoping to buy one this week. Dont want an unsealed box tho.

    • Same here, though I want a white one and not grey.
Going to wait a little longer and see if any Aus stock dip below $500, just dont want an unsealed box. I know they put in Aus adapters and so on but I'd rather they not open the box and give the extra adapter separately

  • I'll buy one if price includes shipping!

    • Thanks i'll put that in

  • Has anyone had any actual warranty experience with UniqueMobiles (good or bad) after the DOA period?

Is extended warranty to 24 months worth it? Any OzBargain tricks to get extended warranty for cheaper? Eg: 3rd party warranties, credit card benefits/add ons, home insurance policies, etc?

Mod please don't revoke my neg as you did last time even without giving any reason.

Buyers beware and keep in mind that most probably you would receive an unsealed box. Rep also had confirmed that in some other thread. Even he claimed that its clearly mentioned in their site. But I couldn't find 'unsealed' or 'opened' worlds using the search box in their site.

Import Direct products are not illegal, inferior, factory seconds or demo stock. In fact, in almost every instance they are identical in form and function to their Australian stock counterpart.

But please be aware that as stock is sourced from around the globe, it is not uncommon for packaging seals to be broken or removed. There are various reasons why this may be done such as; to inspect package contents, insert warranty cards or compatible chargers, network unlock devices, or update language settings. Be assured that devices are still Brand New and have not been used in any other way.

      Found it

As long as it's new and hasn't been used, who cares if it's unsealed?

I'd rather have a brand new potentially "unsealed" phone which is $200 cheaper than buying locally, than a "sealed" one….

    YMMV

      • Refurbs wouldn't have the seals on the screen and phone and would have cosmetic signs of use. Only the seals of the box are in question. Even from Handtec, a reputable UK seller, some boxes are unsealed.

An unsealed box and a refurb is completely different. I dont think there is any evidence that Uniquemobiles are selling refurbs as new unless you have some?

Do people have ideas about how easy it could be to make a phone looks like brand new for professionals?

    seems a good deal

I do not think the mods removed your neg vote. More likely that other ozbargainer negged you enough and your neg vote was automatically removed

If one of you comments with a neg vote reaches -6 or more, your neg vote gets automatically revoked.

bought my note 2 4g in Feb from UM.
No issues with mine, sealed up and in perfect condition.
I work in shipping and logistics and there have been new changes this year in shipping lithium ion batteries and so I know of many companies (ours included) that have had to open and inspect items to make sure suppliers are correctly declaring their items so an open/inspected box should not detract from the 'new' status of the item.

To the user who said he shipped his tablets claiming they were without batteries, if anything ever happened you would be liable and risk imprisonment and huge fines. sounds so small and insignificant but in the end is it worth risking misdeclaring an item for a cheap tablet?? in my opinion this deal seems pretty good but there are a few places now offering the note2 4g around the 500mark give or take a few dollars.

  • i paid 550$ for 4g a month ago from kogan…. 50$ drop already..
even Kogan sent me unsealed box

  • Tempting

  • Bought. Couldnt Resist.

Looks like there will be another used White GT-N7000 on ebay in a week or so.

  • Wonder how successful a 28 degrees claim will be for this company.. hmm

strange about ozb, when there is more people complaining about unsealed box in one thread, everyone will follow, but when unsaleable box is not a case, more followers agree on that thread example this one. so let see on my comment. neg or + first and then others will follow

  • I remember when the SGSIII was released, I'll wait for the Note II - then that came out and, oh, I'll see what the SGSIV is like now I want the Note III…

I'M NEVER GETTING A PHONE! I should just get this…

  • their warranty conditions look pretty crap in comparison with kogan - might wait for kogan to drop it under 500 delivered

    • pretty much downgraded standard warranty to promote their additional warranty, which isnt right.

"There are 3 warranty options available at time of purchase:

      Standard Free:
      12 month Australia-wide warranty.
DOA replacement within the first 48 hours of delivery.
Repair Guarantee: within 30 days, generally 7 days, and replacement phone or store credit offered if unable to repair within guaranteed timeframe.
Equivalent to manufacturer's warranty terms and coverage.
Repair centres located in most capital cities, or return to our support office in Brisbane.
Return Postage is at Buyer's expense.
      Free delivery of repaired/replaced devices."

  • +1 I almost purchased this, but still prefer Kogan.. At least they have a 14 day no questions asked Money Back Guarantee. The phone at Kogan might be 28 bucks more expensive but if anything goes wrong it will be less of a headache to deal with Kogan.
