That's gotta be "oz-bargain of the year"

  • WHAT A BARGAIN ! ! ! !

  • Amazing find!! Found elsewhere?

  • +1

A Base branded camera isnt a realistic $99 RRP ……its a real cheap camera , is there even an optical zoom at all….. but definately good for a beach / throw away camera..

    • +1

Yes, I think Base is Target's home brand for a lot of consumer electronics.

      • That's correct. Base and Rank Arena are Target's home branded products for electronics.

    • +6

      Who cares, it's only 2 bucks…

    • 4 x digital zoom

  • +4

bugger, I just got back from Target! >.<

  • Wow, its even cheaper than disposable cameras!

  • +1

Damnit! I bought this shitty 5MP Base underwater kids camera for $14.83 with my Telstra Smart Touch 2 refund

    • +1

      What is reason code 40?
      Reason = Too crap?

    • $14.83 Telstra Smart Touch 2 is bargain, can use for mp3 player or gps on car… i wont return it

  • damnnnn

  • Nothing at knox. Found the tag for the kids one for $4 something. No no sign of a waterproof one

    • Yeah… There are kids one for $4 something in camberwell aswell

    • nothing at Glen either. might be a camberwell store only thing?

  • Anyone found this anywhere else yet? Just found out my local store closed an hour ago, so i wont head into town until tomorrow, then ill look and report back if i find any!

  • Nothing at Macarthur Square or Campbelltown.

Campbelltown did have the waterproof video camera reduced to $45 I think, but it was missing the charger.

  • +1

Its cheaper than those disposable ones! (The paper ones that aren't even waterproof!)

looks like no one but the OP has got this deal =(

  • None at warringah mall :-( there were ten the other day!

    • Were they not cheap the other day?

  • I consider this bought yesterday from the same store for $39.87 far better value:

    http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-ricoh-px-price-321502.html

    Waterproof and got two!

    • I picked this up for 20 bucks with no box, haven't downloaded any pics yet but the screen is quite poor, not that big a deal if the pics are good, but makes me think it's an old model, ie I don't think shopbots price is realistic.

  • +1

Nothing at target online either :(

Nice tags on the attached image OP

    http://oi44.tinypic.com/1pv88m.jpg

  • +2

What's the go with the website title for the tiny pic link? Did anyone else notice it?

    • Yeah, looks like malware trap

  • +27

^ isn't that a bit hypocritical based on your username?

  • lol @ the tinypic tags…

anyways… pic of the camera bag please?

  • +3

I wouldn't consider this bargain worthy in the end I'm afraid, next to no stock anywhere - only two confirmed purchases and no stock anywhere.

Great pickup OP, but I suspect you got clearance stock which most wouldn't have.

    • rang a store today and they had one for me - get off your hors - just because you got beaten to the ones near you is NO reason for a neg

  • +2

There s been alot of clearance deals lately with not much stock…

    • Almost seems like Target are liquidating…

      • Mr Spooner said the market would eagerly await sales figures from Target, which has underperformed compared with the rest of the company.

Earlier this month, Stuart Machin was named managing director of the struggling discount chain, replacing the ousted Dene Rogers.

"Target has been a bit of an issue there and we've seen a change of management there although it's too early to see any change but it would be interesting to get a hold on what the dimensions of the problem may be," Mr Spooner said.

  • Waste of time. Tried my local state as soon as i saw this. Sold out weeks ago for $35

    • +1

Not really a waste of time. You shouldn't put your expectations that high.
If I go past a Target I just take a look in their electronics section and home beauty sections.

      Happen to come past:
      2x Phillips Shavers
      2x iRiver Story HD

Didn't expect to get anything, but got everything.

SIGH There will always be whingers.

    • oh come on - i just got one put aside TODAY for gods sake - it is no way a fair reason to neg a deal just because you missed out - when many others didnt

  • Any more info on the Camera Bag, need one for my (New) NEX-F3 :-)

  • That's a great find, I thought picking up a Nikon d5100 and two lenses at dick smiths was a good deal but you can't argue with this one.
