Officework's listed price has dropped too.

    • ooO that's even closer. do officeworks give you a discount if other places sell for the same price?

      • Nope. Tis why they will very quickly drop their prices to be exactly the same as a big competitor, to prevent price beating.

        • There was a deal for the Logitech UE Mobile Boom Box - Usually they go for about $90. Some online store in SA was selling them for $60. Office works looked up the website and sold it to me for $58 (or something close). I was blown away, I thought they would just say -"Go away"

    can someone verify my words?

costco sell for $49 everyday price

    • +1

      Man, I wish I had a CostCo where I lived. :(

    • I did not know this, never came across it when at costco. Will have to look out for it next time.

why the heck don't they have an online catalogue

      edit: if it's this..http://slickdeals.net/f/3407050-Costco-Logitech-c910-Webcam-B-M-49-99
that'd be the c910.. minimal difference. still great for the price

    • C920 HD Pro?

  • Should I buy this or Microsoft Lifecam HD-5000 for $22.46 (managed to track one down for click and collect)?

      This should help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-8Z8PpSq-0

The video is comparing the Logitech C920 to Microsoft's Lifecam Studio which is like the battle of the best the two companies have to offer in webcams. Logitech C920 was the winner in the video and that was in comparison to the best model Microsoft has, as opposed to the HD 5000 which is a lower end.

      • All the reviews I've seen said the lifecam studio did better video, at least, that's what I remember lol. Anyway, I'd get the C920 over it because of the on board encoder.

    • This HD-5000 sucks! Keep auto-focusing, as if I am a ghost… And it caused the microphone to pick up the auto focus sound.

  • security camera

  • good deal! paid 70+, price matched from OW about a month ago

  • very good deal~~ just brought one

  • I got mine yesterday and have only made one video call with it. Pretty good. The mounting mechanism is nice and seems pretty sturdy.

  • edit: redundant

  • I bought this after seeing the price - I think the video is slightly brighter than my c910, but the biggest enhancement I can see is a mounting hole which means you can put it on a mini tripod/or a large tripod which is great if you don't want it hanging on top of your monitor or want to use it as a security device to record movement through a window etc etc (or spy on neighbors).. A plus from me because of the excellent price for an excellent camera.

    • lol a plus from you because you can spy on your neighbours?

  • Again, this deal is quite tempting.

Then, i was thinking, if i use this as a web cam for video calling, only the other person can "enjoy" the beauty of this thing unless i give one to the other person as well…

Imagine most people on skype use a VGA quality web cam and you use this one, what's the point?

    Your thoughts???

    • I purchased this webcam as I didn't already have one. If you already have one, don't know if your friends will really appreciate your face in extra detail or not.

  • Will this work for a plasma smart TV - LG and Samsung ones?

  • price is back up to $129
