This is one of my favourite games at all time and is well worth the $5.49 is originally costs, let alone $0.99 now!

Bastion is an action role-playing video game produced by independent developer Supergiant Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. In the game, the player controls "the Kid" as he moves through floating, fantasy-themed environments and fights enemies of various types. It features a dynamic voiceover from a narrator, and is presented as a two-dimensional game with an isometric camera and a hand-painted, colorful art style. Bastion's story follows the Kid as he collects special shards of rock to power a structure, the Bastion, in the wake of an apocalyptic Calamity.

    Really great game. Watch those specs though. This game needs a relatively new device to play.

    Q: I know my iPhone 4 doesn't meet the requirements, but is it the CPU or graphics that's not up to par? Or is it both?
    A: it's both but mostly the CPU. We tried cutting various graphical features but the game still ran poorly on the 4. We could have cut more content and animations and things but at a certain point the experience would have been heavily diminished and we don't want for people to have to settle for a substandard version of the game.

      So what if it has gone on sale before? Are you saying that just because an item went on sale almost 5 months ago and it returns to sale now, it's deemed as "self promotion?" In that case you might as well not have any bargains since they are all self-promotions. It was a bargain in December and it's still a bargain now. You tell me where you can get that many hours of fun for 99 cents? Additionally, it still remains a bargain for those with newer iOS devices, that does nothing to diminish the bargain, and the only reason why they restricted compatibility to newer devices is because they were unwilling to compromise on game graphics, performance or experience.

    Has anyone played it on iphone? how is it on the small screen? I cant imagine it would be good when bits of the screen real estate are taken up by your fingers.

    I played it on PC ages ago but might grab it for iphone for a play through.

      Just had a play of this game - wow! It's an truly excellent experience. One of the most polished and interesting games I've played on iOS. Gorgeous to look at. A port done right.
