    Screen Resolution 1366 x 768

    Meh!

  • not bad for an i7qm based laptop but I wouldn't call it a gaming laptop. And like most cheap laptops it will have a very crappy screen.

    • and runs hot HOT HOT.

      • may come in handy - Winter starts tomorrow!

Personally, I think its a decent deal. But the Acer M3 for 599 in the other deal is better in my opinion.

It's a common comment because it's true.. very low res… deal breaker.

      • +3

It is only a deal breaker if it actually makes it a bad deal… i.e. if you can get a 1080p screen for the same price or find this laptop for cheaper somewhere else. A 'deal' relates to the specific product for the price it is being sold at. If you don't want a 768 screen thats fine, I don't want one either, but that's not to say this is not a good price for a laptop with such a screen.

    • link brah

  • From the user review: "However, the information provided on this site (DS) is incorrect. It say this PC has an AMD Radeon HD 7670M graphics card, when in reality it only has a Intel HD 4000 card."

    • +2

Probably just someone who doesn't realise dynamic graphics at work. If I look on dxdiag it shows that I am running HD 4000, but device manager shows HD 4000 as well as 330m. See here.

TLDR; PC doesn't use discrete graphics until it needs to.

  • very cheap for this spec…
but personally no love for HP.

  • Officeworks stock this laptop so might be worth a pricematch - http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Com…

  • Next-Gen Intel CPU's out VERY soon so expect MASSIVE price drops after that on old stock.

    • Integrated graphics will be getting pretty decent.

  • This is a great buy. I have had my HP Pavillion 15" notebook with similar specs to this one for the past 18 months. It runs hot which is annoying in summer but it performs very well. I had intended for this to be just for 1 year as it was so cheap at the time but I'm still happy with my choice.
