      Cheers!

When will this deal be available/compulsory for children?
First with the vaccinations than microchipping…

    • +3

You obviously don't have kids… mircochipping should be the priority, especially for shopping centres…

      • +2

        needs more desexing………..

  • My kids will love this.

doh more and more adversting materials lately on ozb

    • $25 is cheap for microchipping. my vet has that special from time to time but usually its more. not sure about the rest

  • The $100 teeth-cleaning is a good deal. Cheapest I've found so far in both Sydney ($150) and the NSW Central Coast ($300).

Could the REP ("donsssja") please immediately enable "Messaging" on Ozbargain. I need to ask him a question regarding these offers.

Apart from the microchipping the other costs arent "heavily discounted"…
Offering discounts for veterinary services is strange, given that I would prefer have the best care provided to my pets rather than the "cheapest". To keep up with your profit margin it would make sense that you need to get through more patients per hour, therefore the standard of care and patient interaction can be a reflection of the cost you pay.
Im guessing at these prices, management would most likely pressure vets to lower consultation time limits, diminishing the quality of the consult itself.

Not going to downvote, but just disgusts me that some vet clinics have specials like this.

or…. its just a new clinic without a customer base built up yet and want to get people in through the doors to show how good they are?

i understand what you mean, i wouldnt want to take my dogs to anywhere other than my regular vet because he knows me and my dogs by name and he has built up a trust, that is worth more than just money. but that dosnt take away from any other clinic. all vets need to be trained to the same level, i dont think the reduced cost is due to rushing the vets but more just to get new customers.

Especially as it is ILLEGAL to practice in NSW without being accredited by the NSW Veterinary Board. Which these guys claim to be.

I think people are getting too "precious" about personal services.

Yet they then use soap & toothpaste Made In China, who mix their ingredients with engine coolant.

      Rubbish, Happyhappyland.

The service can be just as good but also cheaper.

Just because YOU think the standard COULD be lower, doesn't actually make it so.

A review I saw of this place says it is "excellent":

I wish I could get discounts like this on my own human body and teeth - I would be the first one to book in.

It's called a "loss leader" - you take a loss on the initial transaction, and then make it up on the repeat business. Gillette used to give their razors away for free, in the hope they'd make up the loss when you bought the blades (which seems to have worked out for them), and most of the large games console manufacturers have taken a loss on their consoles at one time or another in the hope they'll make it back off the games.

Besides, if this vet does offer sub-standard care, then you won't be back, and the loss leader plan will just end up costing them money.

      Hi!

      Thanks for your reply!

Just to let you know we practice best practice in our clinic and we are not doggy vets. We use very safe anaesthetic agents (alfaxalone and isoflurane). Only reason why we do this is to promote our clinic as it is a new business (we have another clinic in moorebank, and our head vet have been practising for 20 years)

We do a maximum of 3-4 routine surgeries a day, and we do not compromise with stardard of care. Every animal gets examined before surgery, monitored during and after surgery, and never have I rushed through a surgery.

Our consultation has always been 15 minutes (just like any other vets) and will always be 15 minutes. We are still quiet to begin with, we almost never book 2 consults in a role so hardly will we need to rush through a consultation neither.

      Thanks :)

Lol: I hope you ARE doggy vets - seems like an essential area for you guys

        • +3

          hahaha thanks…i mean dodgy :)

Apart from the microchipping the other costs arent "heavily discounted"…

$30 instead of $65 for vaccination and $100 instead of the $400 I paid for tooth cleaning counts as heavily discounted in my book

  • Hi rep,

Do you desex female rabbits? How much would it cost?

    Thanks.

    • Yes we do. It is $100 if the rabbit is not on heat. Thanks :)

      • Very decent price. Thanks!

  • Booked my Truffles (Spoodle dog) for a C5 injection and teeth cleaning.

Needed both done, so very timely!

I will let you all know how it all goes after Saturday 15th when he is due to be done!

  • +1

How far into the future are we allowed to book? A few days/weeks? How about months?

    • You are more than welcome to book say 1 month in advance. For desexing, we generally recommend doing it from 5 months old but it can be done earlier if you really really need to. Give us a call and we can discuss that. Thanks :-)

I recommend these guys a lot.

Had my dog in for a dental today and they were very professional and very happy with the service.

Will be going back again for sure!

Just wanted to let you guys know I had my 4 year old Spoodles KC immunisation and teeth cleen done yesterday.

Don Chan, the Vet, explained the procedure and allayed our concerns, which were more about the anasthetic than the injection or teeth.

We came in a 9am and left at 3pm, with a happy dog with new clean teeth and vaccination for one year!

He was running at the park next to the Vet almost immediately.

I would definately trust this Vet with my Spoodle again.
