Wow! Managed to grab (for PC) Modern Warfare 3, NBA Wii and ABBA on Wii in Armadale WA. Apparently still have a few MW3 left for $10 each.
got the last ps3 320gb from my local store, $85.50 lol….also got skyrim, dance central 2,3…
not much left….saw the prices this morning, but didnt bother with cod games, etc…

i checked all major cities this morning, only one store got it as low stock, and its my local store lol…but its not brand new, display model, but it came with playstation all star inside the console, oh well for $85 cant complain…

Nunawading - There is still about a table of games left and maybe a few behind counter without boxes.
Also note that the cheap Xbox bundle with Kinect is a display model.
Only a few titles I'm after but none for delivery. I can't be bothered dicking about trying to find stores with stock.

Should mention that the DS I went to had buy one, get one free in addition to the extra 50% off. Hence the 4 games for $30 :)

Batman Arkham City AND Assassins Creed Revelations were two games I saw that are the modified versions. They clearly show this with a yellow sticker on the box. Modified meaning at the time of release when only MA15+ was available the game had to be modified in some way to meet this classification rating

anyone remember the dicksmiths sale posted last year where people queued up for, only to find the employees had nabbed the best stuff? I was so pissed after that! Still refuse to go to dicksmiths because of it.

I remember the good old days at DSE gaming sales. Still have around 12 xbox 360 titles I purchased about 4 years ago when they were clearing them out for $5 each.
I picked up Skylanders Giants Portal Owners pack today for $25 from the North Sydney store. I talked them down from the advertised $48 as they had 6 on the shelf and it includes the game and just the giant Tree Rex figurine.

received both my DSE orders with games missing, one of them had 5 out of 8 games missing. no email or anything from them mentioning that they were out of stock, and they still charged me the full total for each.
have sent them a stern email about it so waiting to here back, i understand that there were a lot of orders but the fact they never mentioned anything prior to delivery is appalling, i probably would have cancelled the order all together if they had told me the majority of my items were out of stock.
My order was partially shipped. The missing items are on back order.
Both of these things are shown in the order status under my account.These games are clearance. There is no such thing as back ordered. I find they use back ordered to stall you and sit on your money.
I had ordered Gears of War 3 a month ago as part of a bigger order yet it had failed to show up. Just called and they advised it was out of stock and they won't be getting it back in stock. No attempt to refund my money though. Had to ask them to do that.
Many people would forget about old orders and DSE would end up pocketing it…sneaky Dick.
Thanks for the heads up. I found the missing items in another store, rang up, got them to put them on hold for me and then called customer service who were also very helpful.
After checking other distribution warehouses for stock, they offered to arrange for a manager to call the store and request that the store post the items out to me. This won't happen for perhaps a couple of days, but hopefully will save me the inconvenience of travelling to the other store.Same thing has happened to me on this sale and would have happened to many others. I was on the phone last night for an hour trying to get orders fixed and to put it mildly they are clueless. Most of my orders are just sitting in their system and have not been allocated to a warehouse. My orders have basically just been hanging and I am not going to receive much of what I have order. DS really need to pull up their socks.
Likewise had my eneloop batteries failing to show up for over a month. Finally contacted them about it and they claim there was some error. They didn't bother to contact me about refunding and were slow at it when i requested it.
Picked up a couple of Kinect titles for $7.50 each yesterday at the Brighton store, still had a bunch of clearance stuff left in several bins at the front of the store. Key to note is that the marked price is not correct, generally it's 50% of the already discounted price.
Tried to get JB to price match, but they wouldn't budge…
I just received my copy of modern warfare 3 for PC and the code was already activated….most likely by dick smith staff…..just my luck….
I know some people get annoyed by stock levels; but I went to a DSE store (Ellenbrook, wa) this morning (Saturday) and was able to get max Payne 3, ffxiii 2, and saints row 3 on the ps3 for $12.50 each, they also had stock of other games, such as Raymond and tekken vs street fighter left on the shelves. Sure some of the big ticket games like skyrim for $10 were gone, but I reckon the deal, and DSE should get the +

Got a email yesterday (about 10 days after order) that stock was exhausted and had to phone up for a refund.
I expected as much after about the 3rd day, but having to call up for a refund is a bit annoying. Apparently the refund is to take a week. What a useless system they have.Yep I have received the same emails. Spent over an hour in the phone queue over 3 calls waiting for them to pick up.
Same here. Ordered 3 games, they told me each was discontinued and not receiving further stock,(this was after when they said its on backorder) not sure about the 3rd game. Told them to cancel the whole thing. Looks like ill have to ring up as well. The games being Doom 3, Street Fighter X Tekken and Reality Fighters.

Same here. 4 games were cancelled. One game (Just Dance 3) was delivered. Had to fork out $7 for delivery of a game that I didn't really need :-(

There was some left over in Cannington however they were being held for someone that called just before I came in.
I ordered 3 games on 4/6, heard nothing from them, then I called them last Monday twice, the first one was on hold then got cut off. I have been advised my order was on pick and should arrive in the next few days. I waited until the end of week and still no sight of my order, no email, no update. I will log a Paypal dispute next week to recover my money. Good bye DS, I will never come back again. Bad customer service. No wonder why more Ausies are buying goods overseas these days.
Yesterday i picked up COD Modern Warfare 3 PC for $5 and Starcraft II PC for $1.87 from the clearance bin at the Yeppoon store. So two games for $6.87 now there's a bargain. Glad i waited out before buying COD Modern Warfare 3 PC as it's now scans at the checkout as only $5 if you can find it any where. Kudos to those who paid $10 for it you got ripped off by $5.

COD Modern Warfare 3 has been removed from the Dick Smith website so looks like it's over probably sold out every where. Was good while it lasted. $5 for COD MW3 PC was an absolute bargain.
Still waiting for games to come in :-(
