Note that the books are a bit more expensive on the Kobo than the Kindle but Kobo allows e-pub books.

  • got one of these in the previous JB deal ($49) and love it!

it's an awesome little unit…not as full featured as other ebook readers (a bit slow, older e-ink technology, no backlight, etc), but it's super portable! the tradeoff is definitely worth it for me…it fits in most pockets, ie. pants (but just slightly too big for my shirt pockets).

highly recommended if you value the extra portability! (particularly if you can get it for $49)

  • tempting……..

  • kobo books can be cheap with those month coupon codes

  • +1

This is selling at Officeworks still at the $49 price to compete with JB's before:

You can order and pick up at your local Officeworks (still cheaper).

  • also if u buy a kobo u can borrow books from the library for it unlike the kindle

    • you can borrow books from the library if you have a kindle (at least at Waverly),

Also as mentioned above this is more than JB and Officeworks have been selling it for months, and realistically I'm thinking it's not on sale it's the new price.

Also I haven't posted this as I got the last one, but the full size Kobo touch was listed at Coogee PO for 49 bucks. Maybe other APs still have some.

      • i have a kindle it doesnt work i was told by the library

        • They need to support 'overdrive'

        • whats overdrive?

    • It's back to full price at JB ($99). Officeworks have it for $49, but when you get to the last stage of checkout it says the product can not be backordered. Must be out of stock, but for whatever reason it's still on their website.
