Has been this price on TGG for a week. It's still its normal price. I'd suggest waiting as I'm sure it'll drop as quick as new tablets get belted out by other OEMs.

    • Which ones exactly? There are very few 3G/4G tabs with phone functionality kicking around, and other than the much more expensive Note 8.0 that's coming soon, not too many small ones slated for release anywhere.

Holding a 10 inch tab on face would be more fun…

How do you get this in your pocket?

"Is that a phablet in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" - what all the girls will say

  • I'm tempted but I won't buy one.
    I already have a Nexus 7 and Nexus 4.
I really wish I could use my nexus 7 as a phone.

    • if you have a 3g version, i think there are roms that support texting. not sure about calling! but maybe…

Very subtle promotion by Asus for this model. I can't remember reading anything at all about this little Atomette.
Fond Optus Mytab / original Galaxy Tab 7 'stares in the street' memories for some…

  • If someone can mod this to add a larger ssd to fit win8 or at least XP I'll be all over it.

    • If it's feasible at all, someone will do it, although I think Acer are coming out with a small Windows 8 tab soon so the novelty of it will probably wear off quickly.

  • 3 MP Rear Camera !!! way too low!!!

i think its enough.. who takes photos with their tablet anyway..

      • Its a good way to troll, I used my iPad during the sydney NYE fireworks(well my hp batt was flat), and all the hiss I get(embarrassingly put it away after a while)

I'm getting so excited, the next gen iPads will show up in few days:)

    • Forgot to say the second part, " don't waste more than $200 on those weak n old stuff, blokes"

  • How would this compare to something like a galaxy s4 for it's phone funtionalities and speed of browsing?

    • Um, as long as you realize the huge practical difference between a 5 inch screen phone and a 7 inch tablet, phone-wise it's basically like any other Android. Speakerphone, bluetooth headset or hold it up to your eee-ar if you deee-are.

Otherwise, you're comparing something with a really, really fast processor with something more modest - although still perfectly adequate for most tasks. No 4G option for this tab, but if your talking about 'speed of browsing' the bigger factor most of time in how quickly webpage content renders on your screen will be less about processor speed or whether or not you're on 3G or 4G, and more about basic reception and server speed.
