Hi All,

Pretty good deal for anyone interested in a DAB+ enabling USB stick for their PC or Laptop! Did a quick google and the best I saw in Australia was around the $39 mark, we're under that by about 50%.

See our website for full specs/requirements etc, and use the code "EBOTBAAS" at the shopping cart to receive the discount and mark down the item to $12.95. Additional units are shipping capped at +$1.00 extra up to $9.95 max starting at $6.95 shipping for the first.

  • is it universally plug and play?

IF this works with iphone/ipad OTG cable, then I will buy it.

in the future, IF your shipping fee is flat, please list the price including shipping and in rounded up whole number. For example : $20 including shipping.
that will save us time. We will not hate you. We will love you for it.

    • from the specs/requirements: Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or greater (32 bit), Vista Home Basic, Home Premium & Ultimate (32 bit and 64 bit) and Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit).

I'd say iPad/iPhone are out of the question.

  • what chipset?

  • This is not designed for ipad or any handheld devices. Ipad and iPhone never supported external device connection unlike android as I know, but camera connection kit is another story.

    • OK then I was going to ask if this would work on an OTG cable attached to an android phone, but then again we could just use a radio app on the phone itself for that, yeah?

      • Yh but instead it will be internet or fm radio not digital.

        • and using this dongle would enable DAB radio which does NOT use data from phone's internet data allowance, have I got that right?

        • Yes if this works with an Android device it will not use data.

  • anyone comment if works with xbmc?

  • Still no DAB+ coverage in Tassie :( wtfs…

    • +1

If there was a way for Conroy to install a union crony to profit from it, the absence of DAB+ in Tassie would cause the creation of the NDN (National DAB+ Network) at a cost of just $50 billion ($6.5k per Australian household… until it runs 4-fold over budget, which all .gov infrastucture projects do given the chance).

That's what we're all shelling out (minimum), supposedly to improve the broadband speed of people who live in Deepest Darkest Rur'l-n-Reejn'l Straya. Farmers need porn too, I guess.

      • troll'ers gonna troll!

Actually some radio guys explained it to me.. the cost of upgrading transmitters is likely just too prohibitive for Tassie radio stations. You're looking in the order of $300k+ each station to upgrade their transmitter to be able to broadcast.

  • Just purchased this online. Works well. The quality of digital reception depends on your area. For my area in Sydney the reception is marked as good. Both digital and FM works well.

  • Anyone that bought one of these Dongles may like to install MediaPortal to get the tuner to receive Digital TV as well. Not sure if other TV tuner software will work, but MediaPortal definitely does, as i'm using it with one right now.
