PadFone Infinity is a powerful LTE smartphone with a 5" Full HD display that becomes a 10.1" Full HD tablet when docked to its companion PadFone Infinity Station. All running apps are instantly reformatted to fit the larger display.

The unique two-in-one nature of PadFone removes the need to tediously synchronize data between smartphone and tablet - it’s always up-to-date and available on both devices.

PadFone Infinity features ASUS SonicMaster technology, which combines high-quality hardware with sophisticated audio processing from Waves, recipient of a Technical GRAMMY Award, for incredible sound quality from both smartphone and tablet.

PadFone Infinity features up to 19 hours of talk time, increased to up to 40 hours when docked into PadFone Infinity Station. PadFone Infinity Station’s built-in battery also has sufficient capacity to fully recharge the docked PadFone Infinity twice over.

Asus PadFone Infinity A80 32GB LTE SIM Free / Unlocked with Infinity Station (Gold) Feature:

  • DynamicDisplay – 5” Full HD LTE phone <–> 10.1” Full HD LTE tablet

thats one expensive phone + tablet

    $700 and I am game.

  • That name is more than enough reason to never buy one. It's not the 1950's.

You get an awesome piece of tech at a very affordable price, probably one of the best phones out to date and yet in an instant it becomes a powerful tablet. Like it or not this is the way tech is moving.

I guess the haters don't keep a track of tech and are confused so here are some links for you to read.

It's nice innovation, but nothing more than a glorified portable monitor. An xperia z + nexus 10 costs the same as this.

      • +1

except you need 2 tether the phone to the tablet and carry them separately

the very problem this is trying to address

  • +2

I'm not a hater but I would prefer a great phone and a great tablet. And yes, I'd probably want them separate. But I am sure this will have a (very) small niche that it caters to very well.

    This is definitely overpriced!

I would consider buying at $400-$500

If this Samsung ppl will be all over it. Just like apple, ppl are becoming Samsung sheep. /rant

I actually like this thing, add a keyboard dock and this thing is perfect for me leisure and work but at this price, its a bit too much.

    • +3

but this is cheaper than Apple iPhone 5 64GB, $999.

  • -6

The price maybe abit high. Considering you can get an xperia z + a nexus 10 for slightly more. And that's 2 independent android devices.

I think people here should compare this with an iPad 32GB + Cellular (not even 4G enabled in Aus), which costs $789 with 1 year warranty. This is where the PadFone Infinity is targeting. To me the PadFone wins in every hardware spec, so why is the PadFone "overpriced" while others happily pay more for the iPad?

this phone is awesome, don't know about the gold colour tho …makes it easier to sync things as everything is already on the one device anyway

  • Rep, does the infinity station comes with a keyboard as well?

    • No it doesnt. The latest versions of the padfone do not support hardware keyboards. Only the first generation ever supported it.

  • +1

    to infinity and beyond!

  • Still no support for Telstra people… no 850mhz 3G…
