  • Pro tip No.1: Don't subcontract them…

And you've contributed how many worthy bargains to the site ?

      • So you're saying only people who've got a good and long record of posting bargains should be able to point out bad things on ozBargain?

Does this mean you aren't allowed to say anything bad?

(note: don't think this deal or those like it are a bad thing, but tuckerm does and that's who you're saying should shut up)

        • If he believes kindle and ebook 'junk' posts are not worthy bargains, then that is his belief.

However, he is pretty much insulting those who have gone to the effort of posting to the site declaring it and all the other posts unworthy when the majority of these so called 'junk' posts are positively voted in large numbers.

        • Sure.

And what does that have to do with how many deals he's posted?

        • I don't care how many deals he's posted. I care how many "Worthy" deals he's posted because he has pretty much inferred that he is the authority on what is worthy or not worthy.

"you're saying only people who've got a good and long record of posting bargains should be able to point out bad things on ozBargain"

No you are implying that and seem to have difficulty reading between the lines. I merely asked him how many worthy deals he has posted. Obviously you are saying anyone can point out bad things on ozbargain. This means that I have a right to point out that his statement was overbearing and also infer that what is worthy is in the eye of the beholder.

The question is why are you getting so defensive about this ?

If he had written something like "Kindle deals aren't my thing" I'd have ignored the statement. Yet the he decided to point out that it wasn't worthy of posting and inferred that the other kindle posts are junk/spam which makes me wonder what he thinks are worthy deals, because I'd love for him to post them on here. Easy.

        • Speaking of defensive…

So the only thing you were intending to imply was that he should post good deals, not that he shouldn't say deals are bad?

        • Once again reread everything I have typed and point out where I wrote 'good' or 'bad' except to quote the words that you attempted to put in my mouth. Yet again you miss the point.

Since you choose not to read between the lines, let me spell it out for you.
He used the word "worthy". I took the same spirit of disdain he used and reapplied it, asking him to show the onus on what was considered worthy.

The actual number of his posts hold no bearing to what I wrote. I was highlighting the quality of his post which cast a heuristic on the efforts of those that take their own personal time to post the deals that he chose to point out as junk and spam.

Contrary to your persistence to sustain the literary meaning and ignore the context at which the statement was made, I ask once again that you show some common sense then add a of irony twist of sarcasm. Please refer to a dictionary if you still lack comprehension.

This is my last post on this topic.

        • I didn't mention or even imply quantity in my last post…

But it's cool. You're clearly much smarter than me, I mean you've said so at least twice.
