        i think ipad mins's size is perfect with the slim frame. 7" is a little bit small as a tablet.

      it has a 5mp rear camera, hdmi output, expandable memory slot. it has similar specs to ipad mini except its half of the price but heavier and bulkier (or not as stylish).

      "A handling charge (excess) of $75 inc GST applies for each Accidental Damage claim." Very good on them Excess charge is 50% of the product cost.

        Well, why should Acer be completely at cost if you drop your damn tablet onto a rock? I think that's certainly a fair excess for this item.

      MTK is a Taiwanese company as well. They are reputable and growing fast due to huge demand in Chinese tablets. Their price is very compatitive.

        make sure you follow the instructions to the letter. Acer are one of those companies who will deny your claims very quickly if you don't follow the instructions.

    Just bought one from my local Bing Lee, asked for a better price and he took it down to $190 no major haggling required.

    Side by side with the Nexus 7 and the Nexus is stil la nicer device but this will make a cheap TomTom / Music PC for my car

        Screen doesn't feel as vibrant. Responsiveness feels identical and the touch screen sensativity is on par.

        I was just sold on the fact it has microSD for my music and movies, and HDMI when i travel and wish to use a TV.

          In terms of reading and quality of movies I'd say the Nexus 7 is sharper and more vibrant. I no longer own a Nexus 7 so can't directly compare it.

          Not sure if its IPS then again IPS is a term loosely thrown around these days.

    pros and cons:
    Benefits:
    1 Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, HDMI OUT, built-in microphone, you can insert the memory card fully functional.
    2.MTK four core operating really smoothly.
    3 power, receive power remaining 2/3 of the battery, use the next day at night before going to charge.
    4 good price, but also warranty than the big brands, no problem.
    5 fingers touch unique unlock from hibernation, you can use less power button.

    Disadvantages:
    1 screen yellowish, not really compare it can be seen.
    (2) Weak speakers, the sound is too small and thin.
    3 built-in camera without autofocus.

    I hope to increase the function of the firmware update:
    1.A1 though it is Android 4.2.2, but it did not seem to support miracast.
    2.A1 currently only supports USB OTG FAT32.

    I bought one yesterday , all OK except the text readability. It is not as clear ad Toshiba AT100 7 inch. It seems this us due to 1064x768 resolution. Branded tab for 190 inc bonus case.

    guys, i just did a live chat with Bing Lee. The delivery will take place in 10-14 working days while they are getting more stocks. So it would be good if they can make the invoice date as the delivery date.

    Edit: confirmed they are not allowed to change the date of the invoice. This may result in the cash back from Acer due to 14 days from purchase date policy.

    Note: to cancel an order, simply reply to the Order# email with the reason of cancelling.
