been this price for a while

  • No reviews on it. Also glossy screen?

    • I believe that refers to the outer plastic

  • When buying a monitor for gaming isn't the most important thing the refresh rate (in hz)? Rather than response time (in ms).. still a bit confused; can't seem to find the refresh rate anywhere on the specs of monitors

Manufacturer's specs are nearly always "5ms" or such - check out prad.de or tftcentral for actual specs. For gaming, input lag is the killer; followed by response time. In real-world scenarios, anything under 20ms is amazing (factoring input lag + response time). Refresh rate refers to 'how many pictures per-second' and is important for 3D movies/gaming (120hz) and gaming, where the PC outputs more than 60fps (60hz)

      • The Dell HM series which there are often deals for on this forum, perform really well, with tests on tftcentral reporting input lag of around 10ms in gaming mode. Awesome for an LED e-IPS.

  • Only DSUB and HDMI

  • Think I'll stick with my 16:10 1920x1200 monitor thanks.

    • What's that?

        It's called a real monitor.
