  • Use the woolies app instead. Accurate and on time.

Too much work for some people, you have to click the button the turn the page.

  • The post is actually easier if you are already at the shop and want to see if there is something on special. I don't want to turn 37 pages - I just want to see what's 50% off :)

    • I agree smoke and mirrors. Too much sensory overload with those catalogues- just give me the numbers. I have found that post really handy. Maybe my groceries is having a holiday?

  • Yeah - no-one is saying that its got unique information that you can't get anywhere else.
I just find the MyGroceries post a handy and convenient way of seeing the info laid out.
I think many(most) Ozbargainers agree because it seems to always make its way to the front page.

  • If you look at mygroceries history, you will see they took off in June of last year as well. I'd say they are on a much deserved holiday.

  • They seem to have taken off again this June. Even the app is empty of content.

I see another website called CompareClub is in the formation stage. It looks promising, but it also hasn't changed in a while. I hope a working compare site begins soon.

Even the weekly catalogs don't have all the specials, so hunting through 100+ pages of specials on each site is a bore. I tried to do a download of specials from the website through a VB.Net program, but it recognises that I'm not coming from a browser and refuses to parse the page, otherwise I'd make the data available myself. There has to be an easier way.

Edit: Found pricehipster.com (through OzBargain) and it seems to be pretty good. I'll give this one a go.
