Dang, I purchased these back when they were $44. They're pretty warm, however, be warned, the duck down will go all over whatever you are wearing underneath, so perhaps buy a lint roller while you're there, otherwise, great fit.

  • wanted one but all sizes out of stock except size 16… :(

    • They marked down to $25 on Thursday and it sold quickly… There was size 14 when I check online before, but now all SOLD OUT even size 16… Better get in-store with more choices

  • They have about 100 of them at Perth city. They look really cheap and tacky imo and not even that warm…

    • Its funny to compare this and the 1st comment… It doesnt look cheap for me

  • Now THAT's a puffy jacket… but is it Gore-Tex?

Ok everyone be forewarned, We bought two and returned them in 2 days.

This is a really nice jacket with one major DEFECT… Read on…

It has duck feathers in its lining which makes it very light very warm and very cozy, really nice to wear until…..

    .
    .
    .
    .
It starts raining, and then you realise that the outer lining isn't sealed very well so the water gets in to the duck feathers and…

You smell like chicken shit or a dead chicken whichever is worse.
Took us a while to figure out what was stinking so bad and no amount of perfume could make the smell go away.

Buy this only if you make sure you will NEVER EVER WEAR THIS IN RAIN.

Sorry, OP, Thanks for posting it's a good bargain except for this little problem, I'm negging it for the product quality.

You shouldn't neg it unless it advertises that it's meant for wet-weather. Most down jackets aren't meant for this either.

        yanman,

Negging it as a warning, when you look at the jacket it looks so waterproof,
imho the onus is on them, they should make it more obvious to the buyer and warn people

DO NOT WEAR THIS IN RAIN. EVEN IN A LIGHT DRIZZLE.

Which is what I'm attempting to do with the neg here. ;-)

maybe the smell wasn't coming from the jacket :-)

        • Just put it under the sun to dry it… I dont see its a problem any point

        • Have to agree to disagree… i dont assume things are waterproof just cos they look shiny. And having owned a few down jackets I know that they're not generally.

        • maybe the smell wasn't coming from the jacket :-)

I'll suggest that to the Mrs, haven't slept in the doghouse for a while.

I agree, thanks for posting this review. I would have thought they were waterproof and with my luck I would have found out the hard way, months later after I had lost my receipt.

  • Just bought one jacket and one vest from the Mt Gravatt store. Still plenty of sizes available, mostly blue though.
