      wut…?
This deal is coming from Officeworks…how do they pricematch themselves?

        sorry i make yoke…

        • holy crap you're a good troll lol

  • beware wifi issue. although build quality is generally regarded to be superior to TF300, wifi niggle kills it when TF300 was on sale for 300

    • Thanks for the heads up re wifi issue.

Lack of inbuilt 3G killed it for me. Would have been happy to pay $400 for a Transformer if it had 3G built in. As it is, there's no advantage compared to using my netbook with a dongle.

  • is it better specd than TF300?

  • I've had this since launch. Everything is perfect except for the wifi which isn't the strongest - fine for in home wifi though! I tether this to my phone to mobile internet access no problems.

Its been at this price on OW for 2-3 weeks now. It has always been out of stock online. So similar to DSE deals, where it's only good if you find stock.

TF201 was superseded by the TF300T and is similarly spec'd with good wifi and slightly less battery life with dock and was $298@DSE.

It available for delivery in Melbourne ans SA and i can recall seeing this in stock in many OW store in sydney when i go to price match for an acer laptop.
Deffinitely not similar to Dicksmith deal.

      • Well there's none around 4000 anyways. I also said - Good if you find stock.

  • This is a pretty dated tablet- and if you dont need a keyboard dock, IMO you are better going with a HiRes Tablet like the -
    Nexus 10, or Xperia Z @ the $450-$500 mark.

    • It compares quite well to the Xperia Z in terms of real life performance. FHD tablets are usually let down by the GPU struggling to process during intensive apps; eg. games.
The TF201 is also officially upgradable to 4.2

Obviously N10 is on another level.

      • I think you'll find there is quite a difference with the (s4 Pro chip)- atleast on paper/ despite the HiRes screen

        http://blog.clove.co.uk/2013/04/29/sony-xperia-tablet-z-benc…

        • I know. But I said real life performance. It feels quite similar between both my friends Xperia and my TF300.

      • I've read that it's been confirmed that TF201 won't be getting JB4.2 on xda.

Still one of the better pads on the market though.

  • do OW price match themselves? - true ozbargainer!

    • +4

true ozbargainer will read the first comment ;)

      • ok, i lose.

  • Ring around for the Asus TF300,

I scored one yesterday for 300 at a Dicksmith,

It was Floor stock @ 300 much better calue for money deal than this imo

very happy with it so far,

Remember that The keyboard with its extra functionality (Added Battery, full keyboard, mousepad, docking station, USB port and SD card reader) makes it so much more than a traditional tablet.

This is a full service travel laptop for all practical purposes.

  • FWIW, Asus announced a new Infinity and other tablets a couple of weeks ago. Provided they don't screw up the launch in Australia like they did the first Infinity, the new tablets may come with competitive prices (USD$399 for the base Infinity, I believe), and could be better bang for buck than the 1.5y/o TF201.
