The large screen nuvi 1450LMT offers FREE lifetime maps and traffic, multiple-point routing, lane assist with junction view to guide you through busy highway interchanges, pedestrian routing options and ecoRoute.

Includes Lifetime Map Updates
Right out of the box, the nuvi 1450LMT comes bundled with nüMaps Lifetime. Which means you can download the newest map data when it becomes available - no monthly fees or maintenance costs.

Includes Lifetime Traffic
A combination power cable/traffic receiver in the box gives you traffic services for the life of your device. You’ll avoid traffic jams and keep moving when your nuvi alerts you and offers detours. No additional purchases are necessary.

Know the Lane before It's Too Late
No more guessing which lane you need to be in to make an upcoming turn. Lane assist with junction view guides you to the correct lane for an approaching turn or exit, making unfamiliar intersections and exits easy to navigate. It realistically displays road signs and junctions on your route along with arrows that indicate the proper lane for navigation.

Turn-by-turn Directions
nuvi 1450LMT has an intuitive interface that greets you with 2 simple questions: "Where To?" and "View Map." Touch the color screen to easily look up addresses and services and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to your destination.

Go Beyond navigation

Was on special at DS 6 months ago for the same price http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/88916

6 months on this should be $49.

    • that's right

    • +1

sure but this is no tablet or a phone which doesn't have huge mark up. they'll only add more functions or features on it and keep selling for similar prices.

  • I've tried few different brands, and I think Garmin is the best!

  • Nice unit even for $149. Got one for mum a couple of months ago, huge upgrade from a cheap navig8or one.
Updates took a while to download and install, but worth it in the end for free maps.

  • Half year ago got 2450LMT for $129 from HN, better than 1450LMT

  • This unit doesn't have powered cradle

  • Saw this on TV. Good deal.

    Out of stock :-(

Its a nice navigator, but if you can spend a bit more the capacitive touch screen garmin 3597 is a phenomenal piece of hardware.

Picked up 2, running on ebay for this price http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garmin-nuvi-1450LMT-Car-GPS-Navig….

    • Oh no, Broden just bought all the stock and put it on ebay :(

  • Cheers OP, must have gotten one of the last one.

  • Ahhhhh.. want one!!

  • Will be this price in-store tomorrow for the Daily Deal.

  • how do we check stock?

  • This isn't really that different from the Nuvi 40 or 50 with the exception of a few features I doubt you would use.

    • +1

Well traffic on the 1450LMT is a nice feature if you live in a major city.

  • There is stock online, just got 1 thanks OP

  • Just got one online, thank you sir OP

  • I got one last night just before the stock expired, but my account shows that mine is on backorder, and Dick Smith is showing stock again. I assume it could be some time before I receive mine.

  • North Sydney - no stock.

  • Just a question - Do these come with Aus maps only?? Or do i have the option to 'activate' with US maps. I don't need Aus.

    • They come with a 'whole-of-world' base map. Very few if any roads or other features show on this map outside Australia and NZ.

    • They come pre-loaded with the Oz/NZ map.

If you want a US map, you have the option of either buying (which will cost as much or more than the unit), or searching for download sites (which will cost nothing).

ps the website is now showing "out of stock" with the pick-up option also not available.

      • I just bought mine (11am 18th/06 AEST), store had plenty of stock and signs in the Navigator area for the $99 garmin… Anyway, so ignore the online stock status

  • Just bought mine from the helpful guys at Marrickville Metro Dick Smith. They had a bunch in stock yay :)

Btw, I think its great dick smith is dealing with the online store dilemma(?) by having, not only online daily online deals, but also in store deals.

  • I got this from jbhifi with 20% off , paid $78

    • when?

  • no online stock either. Dick Smith have cancelled my order and offered a discount on another model.

    • Which other model will you be looking at?

      • I've been trying to get the online people to source me one from Marrickville Metro. They don't want to, as it will cost too much to post! The 2595LMT would be a fair swap, given the trouble they've put me through.

  • Just bought one for the folks, good enough

  • Seems like the one I purchased this morning has been discontinued and I have the option of a refund or discount on a different model, any recommendations?

  • I bought this unit from DS today, after updating the firmware and maps, I realized actually the junction view feature is disabled ! I actually bought it for having junction view feature (which is depicted on the product page on the site). Will go to DS to return it tomorrow …

  • Called up ds to sort out my out of stock email, I got an upgrade to a better model for the same price, delighted!!!

    • Which one? I had to fight to get anything out of them. I ended up upgrading to the 2497LMT at extra cost.

      • Got upgraded to the 2455LMT for the same price, I am gonna pick it up today.

  • Hi Guys, DrPhods here (OP) I bought one of these before posting this bargain. I just called Dick Smith online sales to chase it up and they told me there are none in stock and they will not be fulfilling my order! They have offered me a refund or a store credit. I find this completely unacceptable. Does anyone know the legal recourse? My order was accepted an payment was taken from my credit card!!! Not good enough Dick Smith….

    • Update - The Perth CBD Dick Smith had units available and price matched the $99, so I bought one and will get a refund from DSE online sales.

      • Thanks for the info, after reading your post, I decided to check my order and realised that it still hasn't even shipped yet even though i bought on 17/6/13 - and invoice stated anticipated delivery within 2-3 business days. No update or communication for DS, just "in process" status when I checked online. Sounds dodgy. Not happy Dick

        • I received an email saying the product was discontinued and informing they won't get more stock.
They are offering a refund or discount in another product and asking me to call 1300 366 644 and choose the option that best suit me.
          That was one week ago.
I sent them 2 emails and also had no answer.
I'm trying to call them everyday and there is no answer.
Is anyone else getting this problem?
I'm going to complaim to ACCC now
