60

Hi guys,

Just saw the following deal on COTD: http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/20762/product/iphone-5… and thought I might be able to do a bit better!

So if you're after a dock for your iPhone 5 and a new charging cable, head on through to Cyphix Technology. It's the same cable as published on OzBargain previously. You can read the comments from that deal here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/97230

Thanks again to all our past customers for your support of our (still small) store!

  • Still waiting on my cable from the last deal…

    • I'm sorry to hear you've still not received the cable. Was it the iPhone or micro USB? Please send through an email from the one used to order the cable to technology(at)cyphixtechnology.net and I'll look into shipping another one off ASAP.

      • Sorry, the email should be: technology(at)cyphix.net

        • Cheers, just sent the email through

  • +1

How tight is the fit of the phone in the dock? Is there room to get the phone in the dock when it's inside a thin-ish case of its own or does the phone need to be sans case?

    • something that id really like to know too.

    • I've got a thin case on mine and it fits in quite well. The connector is a tight fit initially and requires you to push in firmly for about the first 5 uses to wear it in, then it's been fine since.

  • comes with 1 million cables… wow

  • I can't comment on these cables, however my older generic cables are failing on ios 7 (beta version)
The originals are working, so it's not a beta problem.

    • Hmm. I'll look into getting on the developer program to get my hands on the beta to test it out.

      • I'd be happy to test one for you, It might save you in the long run…..

  • Any sort of warranty on your cables. Got 5 off ebay, none work now. Cheers

    • Hi Jason,
It'd be illegal of us to sell anything without warranty in Australia, so indeed you are covered.

Since we try and minimise overheads, we are currently operating on a model whereby we offer a replacement or refund at our discretion on faulty products if reported within 30 days, no questions asked. Outside this period, we will require the product to be shipped back and we will again consider replacement or refund at our discretion for 1 year.

Hope that eases some of your concerns.

  • quick question - what sort of cable would one use to connect the charge dock? is it a lightning cable as well?

    • Yep, a lightning cable.
