Saw this deal on Videopro website. Says they have in stock. This appears to be an entry level TV without the fancy features like 3D, Smart features, Wireless features etc. Nonetheless, I think it is a good deal as a web search shows the next price is $1055 at Webprice and $1059 at bigbrownbox. RRP is $1399.

Yeah, prices for the 2012 range were a lot cheaper a couple of months ago. A salesperson from JB said the manufacturers had been deliberately holding off the new line till the old line dried up so that they won't have to heavily reduce on the 2012 ones when the 2013 ones come out. I agree some of the new ones are more expensive with less spec.
It's the same every year , best time to buy is always feb/march because the new models start coming out from April onwards. If you wait 7 months the current TVS will be cheap as well.
Cool, might need to do that then. Was planning to wait for these EOFY sales but nowhere near the prices 3 months ago.

lately i've noticed a big price hike with the new model tv's, samsungs in particular. but with no wireless and 50hz only for a 50" pana, pass.
