I received the 32 one today and to my shock, it's made out of flimsy plastic! Ddi you already know about this? I was expecting wood honestly..

    • -1

$5 including 2-3 day courier and you were expecting wood? Honestly!

      • -1

If I bought it before the specials at full price with shipping at full cost, should I have also expected plastic, honestly?

        • -1

Honestly, i'm sure this is not the most expensive plastic goods you've ever purchased.
At least you weren't expecting silver or gold :D

        • -1

Yeah but honestly, this is the most expensive plastic goods I've ever bought that I've never wanted! :)

        • -1

you must be a female member then, i guess you have never purchased condoms in your life :)
p.s. the box has 4 framesx8 photos each = $1,25 per multiframe including packaging and "first class" courier. Now…if you call that expensive…
p.s.2 thanks O.P, i have already mounted mine on the wall, everyone loves them (family and a couple of friends)none has complained about the material…

    • No, I buy latex condoms as most sensible man (pun intended) but others are free to chose plastic..

    • This is a bargain site and your whole argument of that you should be contended with what you get is even against ozbargain spirit.

    • I am not calling anything expensive, I just said I was expecting wood as, I guess, most people here (I bought other frames at the same time from deals direct and they were wood) and even if I did call it expensive it's totally fine as here is ozbargain!..

    • It's funny that you talk like it's been advertised as plastic and you are fine with that but I am complaining and you are sending a message to the OP, lol..

    • and if you are using this conversation as a way to talk yourself into believing that this was indeed a good bargain, please don't. Do it at your own time..

    • and I repeat "If I bought it before the specials at full price with shipping at full cost, should I have also expected plastic? honestly!"

    • Have a great time with your plastic frames, mine are going to be landfill..

    • -1

Apparently not everyone had a nice and calm evening…I hope you feel better tomorrow.
You are the only one who is crying over a $5 frame, IMHO you are taking it a bit too far.
The item has not been advertised as wooden, and none would expect it to be wooden for that price($5 or even at full price $15 express courier+handling included).
My plastic frames are looking good, but i'll make sure i'll keep them away from my wooden and silver ones so none gets offended!
This is OZB, so if you find a better price for those "flimsy plastic frames" you are invited to post it here.
Have a great time with your landfill ;)
P.s. let's see how many "shocked" buyers will revoke their positive vote on this deal

      • -1

I had a great evening and I am sure tomorrow is gonna be just fine.
I haven't been crying over it, heck I bought 3 and they are already in the trash. I just said I expected wood, that's all.
Why not expect it to be wooden, I am missing your point here. Here is ozbargain. A $250 Philips shaver cost me $19 recently thanks to ozbargain, should I have expected that to be out of wood or non functional, because it was cheap?
Again, you are the one who is making a big deal out of the price, not me! I didn't say it wasn't worth $5 because it was plastic! I wouldn't have bought it if it was even 5 cents including shipping if I knew it was plastic.
I said i was disappointed as I expected to be wooden, no need to twist the reality here.
FYI, It's not my landfill anymore…
P.s. It's unfortunately too late for revoking positive votes as most of the stock is gone.
P.s.2 if you have time, check out the reviews on deals direct to see how truly shocked people were..

        • -1

you are twisting your own words here m8, you never mentioned "disappointed", you mentioned the word "shock". Maybe after a chamomile, you can re-read my posts carefully and get my point(s). Honestly, there is no need to cry anymore. Most ozbargainers find this product good(thank God) and do believe for that price it's a bargain. I'm happy you scored a $250 shaver for $19, hope you didn't expect it to bee wooden too.
P.S. does the type of wood matter or any wood would do?
P.S.2 i'm not a regular DealsDirect customer, i just wanted a cheap frame and that's what i got!
P.S.3 never too late for revoking votes here, maybe you are confused and new to ozb. Revoking your vote has nothing to do with the stock
P.S.3 i took your advice and checked "DealsDirect" deals on ozb.The result? hundreds of positive votes with no negative(sorry,i didn't go past the third results page)
P.S.4 Hurry http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/108576 it's wooden!!! FYI it's particle board so don't expect it to be African Blackwood

        • We wouldn't have spent our valuable time here if you could answer my original question: "If I bought it before the specials at full price with shipping at full cost, should I have also expected plastic? honestly!"

but, you chose to do comments mixed with subliminal jokes implying that you actually don't care about this whole thing, instead of replying to my valid points above.

I am also tired of you using "have some tea, relax, didn't have a good evening, did you" type of comments implying that you are actually replying to me for the fun of it (well known phenomenon on the internet forums)!

your last post is also an example of that. you are still focusing on nuances like the difference between disappointed and shocked and implying I am tense and should have some chamomile :)

As I said I haven't been crying as I don't have any reason to.

If you really care about other people's opinions you should check the reviews of people on deals direct about these frames mate. Many of them think like me.

" I'm happy you scored a $250 shaver for $19, hope you didn't expect it to bee wooden too.
P.s. does the type of wood matter or any wood would do?"

See, still not replying to my original point and trying to twist the words.

I think this gonna continue for a while as you are not interested in replying to my points and chose to make jokes.

        • provide a link for your claims?
          here you go: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/diy-16-collage-opening-photo-f…
this one, first three are negative: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/16-combination-photo-frame-10-…
I can't seem to find those reviews you are talking about.. may be they have been revoked?

and hundreds of reviews? each page has got 3 reviews btw.. of course I am talking about the reviews for the specific frames on deals direct that we have been talking about. you either seemed to missed it or want to ignore it!?
also, why would anyone reply me with reviews for other items at deals direct while we talk about these specific frames is beyond me..

I wish you could reply under a new post with something serious instead of writing under many postscripts.

        • Dear Efendy, you had my answer since my first post. I'm happy for what i got! You are twisting your words(read example above) and you blame me for twisting words! Obviously you are new to OZB so you are excused if you don't know how this site works(e.g. revoked votes).
IF is IF, IF you shaver costed $250 you would be shocked, disappointed and wouldn't have bought it! So please don't start with IFs especially on a $15 item that costed you $5 courier included(so practically free+ discounted express shipping) I'm not expecting you to reply to my points as all you do is twisting your confused words. Have a good night and i'm sorry if you didn't like my jokes.

        • Another epic fail from your side! If you are so concerned about your 5 wasted dollars you should have looked the reviews before you buy, so stop crying.
          From your link:
http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/diy-16-collage-opening-photo-f… Material: Plastic <——you failed again or you don't know how to read!
If you know how to search on OZB just search for DealsDirect deals and you will see what I'm talking about(positive/negative votes). Also when you quote reviews from their site, don't forget to mention the positive votes too, or at least just do the maths and check the average, not only what suits your mood!
You wanted a link, here it is http://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/dealsdirect
P.S. fix your postscripts first and then you can worry about mine

        • it was good that you apologized in the previous post and I was going to be easy on you mate but you couldn't help it and made another joke!

you did everything that a losing internet poster would do. repeating what I am saying (accusing me of twisting words even though you are the one doing it), making jokes to ignore the questions pointed to your direction (no example needed as it's all over the place) and name calling (epic fail, you are new to OZB, crying, you don't know how this site works)and lastly "I'm not expecting you to reply to my points" to end the conversation and claim your victory etc.

after this psychological analysis of your state of mind at the moment..

you are wasting my valuable time but I am gonna write again mate:

"If I bought it before the specials at full price with shipping at full cost, should I have also expected plastic? honestly!"

if you check the reviews on deals direct about these frames, people are saying the same thing but only they paid the full amount with full shipping.
so as I repeated several times: I bought this as a discounted item knowing that it would have been worth more obviously if it wasn't discounted, if you don't understand: i bought a clearance item like the other ones I bought at the same time which I expect to have been worth much more. So it's my right to be shocked that expensive item I bought (discounted because of clearance however) is actually a plastic piece of crap.
i also give the example of shaver that if you buy a shaver which is worth 250 for 19 you would know that it's worth 250 but for some reason discounted for example clearance so you would expect that to be fully functional. I hope you get the analogy?

As an answer to another name calling by you: "or you don't know how to read", I am obviously good at reading and writing (expect jokes about my grammar here),the one I bought which is this one: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/diy-32-collage-opening-photo-f… doesn't have that information buddy. sorry to burst your bubble by the way.

so I laid out my point and I believe it's 100% valid.

To look at it from a positive perspective, I can say that I had a good practice on my new keyboard I bought today..

          Have a good day m8

        • as an answer to your reply in which you say:

"You wanted a link, here it is http://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/dealsdirect"

are we on the same page? I am not talking about the reviews or products of deals direct on OZB? I am talking about the reviews on deals direct about the frames. Of course deals direct has got many postives on OZB, I bought many stuff from them they were all good..

the one I bought is this one: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/diy-32-collage-opening-photo-f…

also if you note that link (which is the I bought, as pointed above), there is no material defined there, so no plastic. it's another joke of you but didn't work this time either..

          1. shaver is fully functional, frame is fully functional, you FAILED AGAIN!
          2. you posted links were it IS written the item is plastic, you FAILED AGAIN!
          3. reviews are mixed(as expected for a cheap item, remember the rrp was $15 and not $250) you not only didn't read them prior to buying but you keep crying over it, big FAIL
          4. you can keep practicing on your keyboard obviously you have a lot new things to learn
          5. you mentioned the word "shock" then you twisted it in "disappointed". On top of that you blame me for twisting your words???
Do a favor to yourself and after your next "disappointment" try to be constructive and not just a spoiled baby that cries all night for $5.
The only real joke here m8 is you! GROW UP! (if you are under 12 y.o. you are excused!)
        • He he he,

I thought you stopped with name calling? of course you can't because you don't have any other means of communication with people as it appears..

Now it's last of the many moments that I have been asking myself why I was replying to your supposedly "grown up" comments.

          here goes,
          1. I bought the shaver for functionality but the frame for looks, two different things. i expect you to grasp it. may be google it.

          1. I gave you links as an example and the one I bought is this: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/diy-32-collage-opening-photo-f…

and it doesnt show any materials. it doesnt have any reviews either. the other one however has got many negative reviews where it also says plastic. as i didnt buy that one, I didn't read the reviews nor the description naturally.

          1. again a shaver and a frame would have different rrps. where does it say $15 rrp for 32 frame one?

          2. practicing and learning are two different things. I bet you didn't write on all the keyboards in the world?

          3. another example of using nuances to try to make a point.

Honestly, you started very good and was OK with your responses and sounded grown up but then when you used the sentence "epic fail…" I said yeah his teenager attention span ended here.

I really would like to talk to you further but you continue name calling so whatever you say won't be replied unfortunately as I believe I made my point very well above and you showed your immaturity by many examples above.
          Have good one buddy..

        • I used the words "epic fail" as soon as I realised I was replying to a child that after several comments he was not able to write something constructive on a post that has 0 negative votes! Looks like it worked!
You have the right to think the Earth is flat but don't expect us to be as shortsighted and immature as you are!
Enough said…most probably moderators will delete the pointless comments, I just hope from now on you see the future deals spherically, it will save you from more crying.
BTW welcome to OZB, sleep well little fella!

  • +2

    APOLOGIES EVERYONE

NOT WORTH THE 5 $, I WOULD NOT EVEN TAKE THIS AS A FREEBIE.

My sincere apologies to everybody who bought these, we tried to put prints in these today and they are the biggest waste of money I've ever spent on Ozbargain.

    FAIL
