  • I've got a tracking number from Singapore post and apparently the item is on the way. Not sure if I should go ahead with a dispute?

    • If you are not happy with generic substandard battery, with only 8800mAh theoritical capacity instead of real 12000mAh as promised, then you should.

    • dispute it straight away

read all the above comments for reasons why

  • just got this email regarding my paypal dispute

    YESSSSSSS

    finally got my refund

i rang up paypal a second time

he kept going "paypal is reviewing your case"

i kept pushing him to go to the this link

after he put me on hold for a couple of mintues

he came back and adv that he will refund straight away

i asked him "what made you decide that"

he goes because this seller has alot of complaints about him etc. etc.

so for anyone planning to get a straight refund, just adv the paypal guy to go to this link, and check the seller out

  • I ordered it on the 5th July and paid for it. Till now, i haven't receive the item from power createch. what's happening?

    Status

Upon further review of this case, we have granted the seller's appeal. The seller may contact you to request that you return the refund that was previously issued to you.

Nope nope nope nope. I had previously had my dispute closed by a paypal representative i spoke to in my favour. This is so wrong..

EDIT: Spoke to paypal, was told that paypal has already reinbursed seller and that I won't have to pay anything back. Paypal has awesome awesome awesome customer service.

    • Glad to hear that Paypal did the right thing by you - but can you clarify, did you ever receive the item? You should have had a successful claim by either a) seller going over the 14 day delivery period after receiving tracking number, or b) received the wrong goods/not as described. I can't see how they would have had a successful appeal?

      • I have not received the item

        • +2

The seller is clearly fraudulent in both postage and product, so most people would be successful in lodging a dispute against them. I can't see why Paypal would reimburse the seller at all!
          p.s. I never received my item anyway…

        • absolutely fraudulent

      • I have received the refund as well but the package.
        This item never arrived =\

      WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAt!!!

      what the f*!@#

after all this debacle he wants money still

this whole sale is getting out of hand

we do not want you here in ozbargain anymore. you have tried to trick us with sub standard products and fake delivery time sale.

please leave ozbargain and never come back

Anyone else notice that their website has never had stock after this deal was posted? I'm not sure they ever intended selling more…or maybe they just lost money over this debacle and realized their scam failed??

  • received refund without any query from paypal :)

  • Has anyone accepted delivery of their Powerbank after receiving a refund?

I refused to sign for it today and asked postie to Return to Sender.

Dunno if it had a return address but that's not my worry, got my refund and that's all I care about.

  • +1

    I got the delivery today….

It really took that long I almost attempted Credit Card Chargeback from Citibank.

EDIT: I can confirm (and I have taken photograph), these batteries are 2,200mAh x 4 3.7v so it is definitely lower than what the vendor said it is.

Because the vendor has guaranteed capacity or money back (and keep the device), I will commence claiming Chargeback from Citibank.

Got mine today and doesn't look like it is high quality samsung 12000mah. The case is cheaply made and upon close autopsy, they seem to contain 4 x generic 2200mah cells.

Good news though is that the 2A output might be true as it has just charged up my note 2 from 45% to 60% in a short space of time. The casing did get quite warm though, where the PCB and usb ports were.

  • Is anyone still going to use the power bank on their devices considering it has low quality batteries?

  • Just got mine today. Too late to do a paypal dispute (item not as described) so I'll have to keep it.

Don't yet know how to open the case without breaking it.
Does anyone think its worthwhile opening it and replacing the generic batts with panasonic ones?

  • Charged up the pack and stuck it on my note 2 (which has a 3100mah batt) to charge from 20%

It successfully charged it up to 100%. Pressing the button on the pack shows 2 blue LEDs, so not sure if it will get another charge, will have to test again tomorrow and report back.

  • I have used mine a couple of times and it can charge my sgs3 twice without emptying, so good enough for me. If it is 8800mah that is ok, although not cool for rep to claim 12000 and genuine cells. Bottom line is mine works.

Also like to know how to open case without breaking it as I can use 18650 cells in my torches.

  • After 8 weeks waiting, my one is finally arrived. I used it to charge my SGS3 4G just over 2 times. But I can not use it (fully charged) to charge iPad at all, so disappointed.

There is legal action to be taken on buyers who have received the products and also had their refunds processed. There are 93 such buyers and all deliveries have been proven with written evidence from Australia Post. All such buyers will receive legal notices within few hours.

You pay postage and you can have it back

    • +1

Mr Pari G, don't waste your money on legal actions, you have no ground. You sold the item promising,
"You are welcome to test if if you would like and if the battery capacity is lower than advertised, you get to keep the device and get a full refund!"
Now its proven the item is a fake, substandard product!!!

If you really need, give a try and see, but you gonna loose it for sure mate…

    • +1

I took a photograph on the inside and it is clearly not 12,000mAh as advertised.

This alone is enough to prove fraudulent as the vendor clearly knows it is not 12,000mAh and is a Chargeback-able transaction. Furthermore, mine arrived partially damaged so non-merchantable quality. I have sent an email asking for an explanation as to why it is not as advertised and received no reply. This therefore, fulfils the requirement for requesting for a valid chargeback.

The vendor is incorporated in Australia (at least the Tax Invoice says so) so TPA applies - Unmerchantable quality, not as described (8,800mAh instead of 12,000mAh), and not fit for purposes (arrived damaged).

My bank has approved this chargeback and I have been credited for the cost.

Pari G, You pay for return postage and have your substandard item back. I am totally not interested in your product and services at all. You used dodgy tactics to sell and sent a substandard product, then changed shipping method from delivery within one week to delivery within 8 weeks.
