    Not a very good deal given that LED lightbulb technology is not mature enough to replace compact fluorescent/incandecent bulb technology yet.

    The main issue is that LED bulbs tend to project light too tightly and with little flood, thereby resulting in 'spots' of light which are not very ideal for room lighting.

    Also, the colour of the light put out by LED (ie light temperature) tends to be too white and harsh versus the warmer (ie yellower) shades that you can get with compact fluorescents.

    Granted, LED lights can last a very long time, but at the moment if you're looking for long lasting lights that consume low power then I would stick with compact fluorescent bulbs.

    Be warned - a 25W incandescent will light up a room brighter than any of these LED lights.

    I have a friend who just dropped $1000 on 10 LED bulbs for his house. Are these $6 bulbs shit or did he just get ripped off?
