The game has come along way since its initial release, and as far as I can tell, the reception for A Realm Reborn are generally positive, with the developers going a long way to fix their abomination.Is it the best mmo ever? That will depend on your tastes. Given the current climate of F2P, many people will be instantly turned off (and consequently rag on it) by the monthly subscription before actually giving it a go.

I already had a SE account with them during the original game but it doesn't work anymore even though I knew the password was correct. Ended up setting up another account <_< You have to go to their forum to download the client which is a bit weird & the client doesn't have a pause option, only cancel and the download is 6GB with an ETA of 3-4 hours

Downloaded the game in 55minutes; ping is around 2000ms. Hopefully good servers for Aus on launch.
Game is a serious step up from the original.. but it's not three years on. From what I played seemed decent.

Servers are in JP and USE. JP i get about 200ms been in the alpha since last year

Played to level 15 with a mate yesterday. In my opinion this game is very average. There's nothing new and nothing that sets it apart from any other MMO. Same old quests, slow boring combat. I hope the PvP is decent.
The quests are different from the original (far more variety) and there's constant large battles in many areas. It has a lot in common with Guild Wars 2 actually but MMOs aren't really my kinda thing I guess as I'm finding it average too

Nope, on character creation it says that the character will not be carried over into the new worlds after Beta
