The 24" Full HD LED with built in DVD may prove to be an even better bargain. Pre-sale with delivery around 23rd July, and delivery seems to only be around $20 Aus Wide.

How are the kogan tvs? Im thinking of 24 inch one.

How are they compared to the soniq brand?

    • I've got a really nice 24" LED from about 18 months ago that is brilliant.
I've just got it in my office and use it as either a 3rd screen or TV and it's never missed a beat.

  • +1 for the combo, the 46inch one is not that cheap, especially when you calculate the ridiculous shipping cost

  • The 24" one is 12 ms

    • What does that mean? Thanks

      • Not too much. Some people will claim that this is not fast enough for action movies or some games. Majority of people will never notice a difference to a 8ms display anyway

        • Saw some review. Min should be 8ms. Gaming preferably 5ms or less.previous model was 5 or 8 ms

The ms say exactly nothing since there is no real regulation on what they mean, besides response time. Some manufacturer show grey-grey, some white-white, some grey-white,….

  • Kinda curious as to build quality of these things… have read a few reviews from last year on Whirlpool, everyone says stay away… :S

  • I have a sister in law who swears by her 2 Kogan tv's. Regardless the fact both had to go back for problems, one went back 2 times, and now she want to buy another. Not sure I understand her logic in a good tv.

  • The TVs are fine. I find them better than the Aldi ones. The fact is you can not find something similar in this price range. I have a great Samsung, great LG and 4 Kogans. Pictures are good on the Kogans, but the sound is pretty poor on the smaller Kogans.

With that said, $159 for 24" full HD with built in DVD, sounds pretty good deal. Just ordered my 5th Kogan.

How big is your house that you need 7 TVs?!

      • +4

Plot twist — he has 7 houses.

        • Yep big house. One in Bed1, Bed2, Study, Lounge, Theatre Room, Kids Rumpus Room and one in Garage/Gym. Ok, maybe I am a TV addict.

The 24" I just purchased may go to my office.

With that said, the 5 Kogans are worth about the same as one Samsung!

Ouch! Electricity usage is quoted at 715 kWh per year. My 60" plasma uses less than that….

    • That's why the price is so cheap. It'll cost twice as much to run it then those major brand.

    • Definitely would go with the one from jb. Alone the IPS display is a big difference

    • i can vouch for Soniq's tv quality. Bought one 2.7 years ago and has never missed a beat.

  • Looks pretty good. If only the bezel was way thinner.

  • When i look at that picture, all i see is gigantic bezels.

For those who got the 24" and are wondering if they're crazy you're not. The aspect ratio will be incorrect.

It's not 1080 as advertised it's 1920x1200 and they updated the website to reflect that, not the manual yet. Unfortunately the EDID is for a 1080 tv so you can't run at full resolution until they release a firmware update.

Other than that, and the shitty speakers, it's a great TV.
