I already bought one and can confirm it's the brown 2012 model, not the 2013 white model as in video. Besides colour I can't see any difference.

      Ordered last night for pick up at Camperdown store. I rock up to store this morning. Bloke says we only had two and they're both gone. He says they received over 200 orders even though there's only 46 in AUSTRALIA!!

      According to amazon its getting good reviews, but judging by the age of the reviews and the odds of them redoing the leds to 2013 technology, I would say you could get better, cheaper now.

    Delivery seems to be $5.49 for Sydney (Fastaway couriers) & $40 for Melbourne ('standard' delivery).

    I assume these things will take 4x 1.2V Eneloops.

    Thanks OP - I just ordered one with delivery to Sydney Metro for $5.49. Unfortunately as soon as I tried to increase the quantity to 2 it reverted to the $40 delivery fee. Can't be bothered ordering 2. I can vouch that the little brother of this lantern the Orbit is awesome - been using it almost many nights a week for 4 years to check on the kids in the middle of the night, as well as on camping trips etc.

    This looks great. I like the adjustable brightness as my current lantern on dim mode is still way too bright inside a tent.

    If you mess around with the quantity (ie add one, minus one, etc) the shipping quote changes.

    My shipping quote to Melbourne went from $5.49 for 1
    (+) to $12.49 for 2
    (-) to $40 for 1 (wtf)
    (+) to $8.47 for 2 (winner!!!)

      I called this morning to follow up my order made last night. The operator said I was the 3rd person in a row to ask about these, and they were generally out of stock and had removed the item from the website. She then checked with each of the stores about availability and although mine was originally going to be fulfilled from Campbelltown which was then out of stock, she has had mine fulfilled from Albury. I have received the email telling me it has been packed. :) Poor website response times/calculations/inventory control, but good service on the phone.

    I have places an order at 6: am this morning.
    Paid by credit card and order confirmation received.
    Just called Ray to confirm pick up in store.
    They said they have problem with their stock count, though they accept the payment, they can't honour the deal. They will arrange refund. Not happy !!!!
    This is not the first time they messed up.

      What also shits me is you order one for pick up as its in stock at the time and some prick walks in and grabs the lot of the shelf.
      Then the staff look at they're online orders to pick and put aside and find out there's none left.
      As some greedy sob cleaned up.

        Didn't get around to calling them yet, but I note an email today from them being very apologetic with a $20 voucher and free shipping coupon.
        I guess I can't be all that mad with a resolution like that, but I still think they need to get their act together with online ordering and stock levels, its just not acceptable to offer a service that they can't deliver. If they can't hold stock or monitor stock levels - then DON'T OFFER THE SERVICE ;)

    Discounted sales but no stock even when you select in-store pickup?

    Had to call the shop on Friday to confirm they did/did not have stock, then on Monday got an email from PayPal to say account was refunded, and then today an email from Ray's with (another) $20 + free postage voucher.

    The daypack I ordered with the last 'sorry' voucher arrived today:
