I bet everyone is getting sick of these USA fares… and possibly have already booked their flights.

I was searching www.travel.com.au for flights between Sydney and New York and found lots of cheap fares. While it looks like a lot of the Sydney to New York flights on Qantas are sold out, there seems to be lots of fares on United when I searched 10th June - 20th June return. I couldn't find any sale page at all so I'm not sure what departing and destination citys are on sale, nor do I know what the actual sale dates are.

But what I can confirm is that there is even 10th June to 7th July for $904 return when the Qantas sale is only valid to 16th june :)

Maybe someone else can let everyone know the sale dates etc if they can find the page.

    For anyone thats interested, it looks like United is much more flexible with their low fares. As long as you book the departing fare on a sale date you can get heaps of return dates for $900, eg. depart 10 june and come back in july or august.

    Yes, choice is good, but I can still remember how disgusted I was by United's service, menu and comfort level when I flew MEL/LAX - LAX/MEL in mid 2008. Trust me, if you want to know what it feels like to be cattle in a truck, go with United. I will gladly pay 10-20% more to fly Qantas/V australia than this airline……rant over :)
