BenQ W1070 $938 @ Zettabyte w/ Free Ship | Epson EH-TW6100W (W/less) $2,007 @ Cable Conn. + Ship

80

Hi Guys

Not so much a special but awesome deals I found whilst researching projectors that I not only wanted to share with you all But also put the challenge out to find better for all of us.

First ups the cheapy most of us already know, the BenQ W1070. Only problem I have with it is all the comments and reviews reporting there noisy. Whilst no doubt fine for sports & games I don't want it during the quite times of a movie.

Anyhow I found it for $938.00 "Including Shipping" at Zettabyte - http://www.zettabyte.com.au/benq-w1070-3d-dlp-full-hd-home-t…

Obviously you can also price match @ OW ;-) - http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Pro…

Video Review - http://reviews.cnet.com/home-theater-projectors/benq-w1070/4…

Next ups the one I'm going to get, the Epson EH-TW6100W which comes with wireless streaming in-case your renting or simply can't run the wiring etc. It also comes with 2 pairs of rechargeable 3D glasses and is "apparently" a little cheaper to run and replace lamps etc.

I found it at The Cable Connection for $2007.00 who has stores in 4 States for pickup or uses Aus Post (for me $68.59) - http://www.thecableconnection.com.au/Epson-EH-TW6100W--TW610…

You could also price match Harvey's - http://www.harveynorman.com.au/epson-eh-tw6100w-3d-1080p-hd-…

For this I'll also be negotiating for these when I get there;
100" Motorised Screen - http://www.thecableconnection.com.au/100-TCC-Motorised-proje…
Ceiling Mount - http://www.thecableconnection.com.au/Universal-Ball-Joint-Pr…

As said, see if you can find better for us. Hope this helps some of you and that I've done this listing correctly, only my 2nd one so be nice ;-)

Cheers!

Price in title would be nice. Thank you. Ps. This looks to be quite a decent price.

    • Might run out of room with the prices, would they fit ya reckon? if yes I just put the websites price without shipping (for the 6100) and not if price matched?

      • Well done getting it all in the title haha. +1

        • lol his a clever boy, that comes with experience hey, didn't realise it drops to another line. Hows the line between these done? Ship | Epson

        • There is a key on your computer which does this. Right above the "enter" key on normal keyboards. Hold shift first btw.

        • Thanks mafmouf, teachn | an old dog | new tricks ;-)

Evatech still have their special running (until today) for the Benq W1080ST:
    http://evatech.com.au/projectors/2297-benq-w1080st-1080p-3d-…

$1099 after cashback, is a better model than the W1070 and has 2 bonus 3D glasses.

I purchased this from them on Tuesday, received it yesterday as well as the cashback.

    • 1080's def great deal with glasses if ya don't want wireless but read some reviews incl from owners saying the 1070 was better, some problem with the 80 but can't recall what it was now, a few days ago, if I find it I'll post it.

    • really nice guys to deal with too. responded to my emails rather quickly. bought it and waiting for it to be delivered. better than cable connection who didnt respond to my comment in the previous post.

FYI - I recommend checking out this ceiling mount (which I use):
    http://www.selby.com.au/brackets-and-wall-mounts/projector-m…

Its under $60 incl free delivery, so around the same price as the one you linked (which is not nearly as solid construction). Unlike a ball joint mount, where it can move in several axis at once, with mine you can lock off one axis (say tilt up/down) while still adjusting the other (pan left/right).

I made my own ball joint projector ceiling mount in the early 2000's using the base of a Dremel vice. It could be frustrating when you wanted to make a tiny adjustment to the image location (as a 1mm change at the projector, is magnified heaps at the screen) and ended up knocking everything out of whack.

    • Thanks for that sys, one of the negatives apparently with the 6100 is it's available adjustments, so thought that mount would help if I stuff up. Yours looks much better. Cheers! ;-)

  • I bought the BenQ W1070 a while ago. It gives a great pic. Daytime watch is ok, even though I just have horiz shutters and one side window is uncovered.

As for the noise, it's mounted directly above seating position and I can't say I've noticed it being a problem.

Use code T1FREHDMI when placing your order @ TCC to "Get a FREE 3 Metre HDMI"

    • Thanks cozmo

  • These are fantastic projectors.

We use one in the office, and have probably sold close to 150 over the last two months.

    Adam.

    • Adam, you failed to say which of the two projectors in the header you have, BenQ W1070 or Epson EH-TW6100W (W/less)???

linoc66 - are you aware that Benq have just released a new 3D projector the W1500 which is similar to the W1070 (some changes) but is also wireless.

      http://www.benq.com/product/projector/w1500/

      • No I didn't know that Red, that's very frustrating after 30+ hours and 100's of webpages to end up believing the T6000w, T9000w & T9100w were the only wireless ones available (except for those shonky scam Chinese ones).

The stuff I enter into google search must be useless. Don't like the look of the Con's in that review. Must be a different model number for Aus? Can't see it on the aussie site?
