  • What is the best telstra pre-paid plan for tablets? Am planning to buy one for my dads iPad but only need the data.

    • have you checked their website ?

wait for when the $30 prepaid packs go on sale for $10 buy 12 of them = 1 year supply with 3gb a month

Couldn't agree more. 3gb with Australia's best mobile network with 4G for $10 with 30 day expiry?
I used to use Virgins 1gb/$15/month and never got 4G signals at school or home, but with telstra I get both. Don't settle for anything other than this deal :)
        Here is an example http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/105982

        • Do you need to re-register the "new simcard" everytime or can you just call them with the new prepaid pack and they can adjust it accordingly?

        • you need to activate/register each sim, every 30 days…

        • WHEN WILL TELSTRA BRING BACK THIS DEAL, I MISSED OUT D:

        • For me, I activated and registered once (ie. creating email, putting in driver's licence etc.) by calling them up and then when my data expired after 30days, I just activated my 2nd the SIM card in the same account online. Took less than a minute to get the 2nd sim fully activated and working around 8pm.

        • lol just wait a few weeks
it seems to come up all the time

    • $10 Event movie tickets here i come LOL :)

  • *they're

  • ok, i've some some research for you guys:
to keep the service, you can either go on a $70 recharge for 365 days or
    $5 recharge per month.

  • I wouldn't wait for the next superspecial. Unfortunately most of the old rates have disappeared in recent months, compared one year ago you'd have got: 10.oo/3gb, $15.oo/5gb commonly from Telstra + (Woolworth)optus. It's instead been bumped- fixed up to $5GB.

Given most will have some phone account ~ $15-$20 pm, what I find effective is just add '$10' to that - run a hot spot from android incl. calls from the same (smart)Device. I can safely then account for my usage at $5.00pGB & that otherwise leaves Voice = unmetered/uncharged.

It got old fast changing sim cards around, & awaiting for 50%, & especially as no ['10']gb.
