Telstra $30 Prepaid MicroSIM/Nanosim for $10 @ The Good Guys - in-Store or eBay ($2 Shipping)

730

Saw the offer in this week's catalogue, seems only available for microsim and nanosim. Better than the Big W deal this week (half price). I'll update the link when the new catalogue is available online. Looks like you can buy multiple items.

Update: price has updated automatically on website, start on Tue 28/05

Mod: According to comments, the item is still available in store.

Update: MicroSim available on eBay from thegoodguysaustralia.

    • The nanosim adapter should works just fine. I have one of those

      • I didn't even think about doing this. Will grab one pack to try it out - ordered a nano to microsim adapter as well so might take a few days.

        nvm: it's over apparently.

        • I'm using a nanosim in my iPhone 4 with a micro-to-nano sim adapter. It works just fine. All the chip sizes are the same:

Regular SIM: The chip and a lot of surrounding plastic.
Micro SIM: The chip and a small amount of plastic.
          Nano SIM: Just the chip.

    • wonder if they (TGG) will cancel my order again this time… Bendigo TGG rang up to cancel my order when I did one directly through their website, saying the rule was I had to personally sign for it. Not sure how this is supposed to be any different, via ebay / airport west TGG?

      • so they've called today… pick up from Essendon TGG.

    • Whelp. TGG are so pathetic. I ordered 6, just got a phone call saying they're cancelling my order because they only have the $2 ones available.

    • ebay listing now expired

This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.

  • So is 521 the google credit one?

  • I ordered pink packs but received white packs.

  • Are the pink packs the ones to get for the play store? Bought one on eBay and got a call to go to the store to collect.

Either pink or green will work without hassle. White ones require you to ask Telstra to activate it as a phone sim rather than an iPad sim (crediting your account $30 rather than 3GB of data).

        Thanks for that.

  • Went to Good Guys at Fyshwick, Canberra.
They would only sell me one, despite me asking where it said that anywhere.

    I was not happy.
Looks like I'll have to go via the ebay method to get more.

    • or just visit again tomorrow else go to big w?

  • show the online catalogue to big w and they'll pricematch it

got the normal size sim for the same price today score! :)

    • Issue is not cost; rather it is reflected in artificially controlled value * quant. I'll swiftly change back to enjoy crummy 'promotional' (aka yes'G) sourcing if my 'offer' to hi_tech_deals (10468 ) is bounced. Credit: tonester 1 hour 19 min ago ¶

Edit: Update; received a counter offer for merely ipad street value $10.
      & back to [97%]$2-$1/gbyte I go.
