Up to 30% off Beats Headphones @ Harvey Norman

120

Save UP TO 30% off the Beats By Dre Headphone line for a limited time at Harvey Norman.

I suggest you don't walk around with these full-on-bass overpriced cans on the streets, because you'll make yourself look like a fool. Unless you want to look stupid, don't buy one.

Update 1:

There is another 'good' Beats By Dre deal via Dick Smith's Live Daily Deals for all you 'cool' Beats fans out there! (or those who want to look cool!) Special thanks to wbeer for letting me know.

Better deal for some.

    But Beats?

  • +24

even 50% off beats is still a rip off

  • +24

so now they are only 70% overpriced?

    • +8

      you're 100% right

  • +40

I love the way OP posts a deal, then bags the product in the description.

    • +1

      haha

    • +1

i had to +ve the post just for that

  • +8

I was going to say in before anti Beats comments but it seems I was already beaten

  • Some people really do like that extra bit of bass. For those, Beats is a great option. I used to have a pair of Solos which I received with my lappy and I loved it. But then, I hit my thirties. Now I'd rather listen to crisp sound than boom boom. Yes they are a bit overpriced. But I just don't understand why people hate them so much.

    • +3

I agree with you. I must admit Beats do have great bass, but in my opinion (having owned Studios) it just overpowers the mids and highs, which become muddy. Beats are great for the average consumer and are aimed at teenagers.

    • +1

Beats has bass, one note bass. No extension.

There are still better headphones out there that provide better bass.

    • +3

but you can find headphones/earphones much cheaper with just as much bass, the only thing going for beats is the style/look

      • Just a name.

What kind of Doctor is Dr. Dre ?

    • He went to the same school and Dr J

      • +6

Oh, thanks. I thought it might have been with Dr. Pepper.

Eye eye captain! But I thought he was an audiologist. I guess I must have heard wrong.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u31FO_4d9TY <— that kind of Dr.

(sorry should point out for the non-fans, this is one of the few tracks NWA tracks Dre raps on)

they are even more overpriced now that they aren't made by Monster but instead made in-house…
Beats seem to have screwed over Monster (who screws over customers with overpriced cables) - http://gizmodo.com/5981823/beat-by-dre-the-inside-story-of-h…

  • +1

the Audio Technica ATH-M50 are heaps better than all the beats headphones

    • +1

yeah but they are too heavy and look way too silly when you rock with them out in the streets

also, the cable is way too long for a portable

      • Yeh they definitely are, I use Koss Sporta pro headphones on the go.

      • How do they look silly. :\

I see plenty of them out and about, the Beats look incredibly stupid.

      That's what I use now :-)

  • +18

Not, a bad deal, but it's limited time only promotion.

AFAIK, there's an ongoing promotion where you save 100% off by not buying them. Heaps better than this deal if you ask me.

    $395 - Beats + 'Free' Kindle Fire HD 7" 16gb

    Better deal for some.

    • Dick live promotion?

      • Yes it is. It's the current Beats Studio headphones. FYI - There are all-new Studios coming out next month in the USA (which look cooler) with better features, so personally, i would wait for them.

    • Thanks for letting me know!

Best way to generate comments on OZB - Post a deal on a product that's overpriced, and everyone loves to hate on.

  • These are unreal, and on my Xmas wish list.

$495 I think they are, more style than beats.

  • +1

FYI, newer Beats studio is coming soon with built-in Lithium battery, automatically shut down when unplugged to save battery. I hate it when I forgot to turn off the battery went flat.
