  • Shipping is $9.50. Also, They're $359 at Kogan, same price at eglobal an 8 bucks more at Expansys.

This seems to be a fairly regular price.

    • At Kogan, it Ships in 2-3 weeks and at eglobal, cheapest shipping is $39.90 (International Freight). You can assume where does it come from…

  • Are these Aussie stock? If no, then I'm not sure if this is a good deal…

    • -1

This is an Aussie stock and Pacific Hi Fi is an authorised BOSE dealer.

  • David Jones had this for $349 for the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately this has revert back to RRP now.

    • -1

It was $359 at DJ's and it's going back to $359 tomorrow (pretty sure)

negging because $366 isn't even 10%. Maybe if it were the QC3's at this price that would be a bargain!

  • -5

    Oh, why
    why
    WHY

    is it so expensive? :(

  • +3

They will drop further…the QC20's come out 1st August in the states and will make these obsolete…yes I do have these!

    • good call. will avoid

    • +4

Actually those are in ear ones - if i'm sleeping i don't like in ears and i use these to fly so i will be sleeping.

they will sell them side by side and these won't drop in price - Bose don't do that strategy as most of you have figured out by now.

And don't get them from eBay as 99% they'll be fakes (Noise Cancelling will even work on the fakes too, just not very well). The fakes look very very convincing so its hard to tell unless you can get the receipt and match up serial numbers.

free shipping at kogan so 359. but for the extra 10 i would rather australian stock and not to deal with kogan (luckily i have not needed too as most other people are competitive so prefer to buy anyone but him)

  • Why do people want Australian stock? Bose warranty is international (or at least that is what they told me when I purchased a pair of PC20s from Amazon).

    • Warrant is not international the last time I checked with Bose Australia.

  • +3

Amazon is cheaper for $299 most of the time and allows international shipping.

Also, you only pay that much for the NC feature so if you weigh sound quality higher and you're okay with subtle background noise, buy the sennheiser HD 25s or the beyerdynamic DT1350s!

Is BOSE a white middle-class version of BEATS?

    • +1

Nope… or at least not in noise-cancelling versions. They're great for anyone who does a lot of air-travel.

…or perhaps it is. White middle-class makes up the bulk of business air-travel.

disclaimer: I am white-middle class, I do a lot of air travel. I own a pair of Sennheiser PXC 450.

Myer knocked off $30 (from $399) no issues when I bought these a few weeks ago. Worth it for the local warranty, Myer points plus GST back if you travel abroad.

Once you've tried these you will never want to travel by air without them.

  • +1

Do try these on before buying of course… I really did not like the QC15 and got some QC3 (on ear) instead .. the QC3 were 150 pounds in a UK Bose store at the time.. VAT claimed back on leaving the UK of course! However that must have been at least 7 years ago now.

    • QC3 has rechargeable battery also.

Can only assume the rep is negging my posts?

        • This is this rep's 3rd 'bargain' and they've all been negged by more than one user. Three strikes you're out?

    beats > bose

  • nah I have both Beats and Bose qc's and I prefer the bose however a turnoff is how big they are on the head, the plus side for the bose is that they are so comfy to wear and cancel out a lot of noise that my train trip to work is a pleasure, I don't even hear the doors open/close or the announcements.

having said that both the beats and bose get equal use in my household, ie I thrash the Beats around and baby the Bose.

    • -2

beats looks cooler, and you stand out in the crowd like dr.dre

      • You mean you just look like any other person with beats as well?

If you think you're unique when you're wearing beats, then either they've got a great marketing team, you're very delusional, or both.

  • People read the review on the PSB M4U2 NC headphones. You guys are missing out

    • +1

Good for audio but crap for noise cancelling.

I think most people who are looking at competitors to the QC15 are missing the point - the QC15 is for people that need the Noise Cancelling - sound quality comes a distant second. Its for people that do a lot of flying (or maybe public transport).

Its not for lounging around in the house - a pair of non noise cancelling headphones is better for that (though the QC15 aren't neutral, they're pleasant).

  • Not a great price, but a great set of headphones i can vouch for, frequent travelers/commuters will love it, mind you a warning for those buying these headphones, have a spare battery handy, as they don't have audio pass through as soon as the batteries go flat.

And to the person who commented beats>bose? seriously? or just trolling?

  • Have you guys tried AudioTechnica's ANC9 ? http://audio-technica.com.au/products/travel/anc9-95/
    not as pricey as Bose.
I had an older version that worked really well, but lost it during the last trip.
    Planning to get another.
