The current Woollies deal of 2 x 30 cans for $40 with 20c petrol discount voucher can be better.
Say 65L fill up (I have 75L tank), with 16c discount (because you always get 4c). Equates to $10.40 additional discount.
    Makes it 60 cans for 29.60, 49c/can.

Good price here though with no 'strings attached'.

Yeah but you have to spend more then $100 with them. All i want is just $13 worth of coke :-)

      • Based on a smaller car (45L tank) assuming 35L fill up as I never run my car to empty, the discount is only $7 making it 55c/can. And I also have to glug 60 cans down. Unless I was having a party, it would take me about 2 years to make my way through that many cans.

        • What I do is go to the petrol station with a friend, fill my car from almost empty (75L tank) so 70L, my friend roughly 60L, and the rest in a 20L jerry can for my motorbike. So 16c on 150L is $24. Around 27c a can.

    • Or you could go to other servos where it's cheaper without the "discount" which for me is usually 5 cents cheaper.

Works to be 11c discount instead which means coles will be cheaper?

      • Yeah for you, I'm not sticking up for Coles/Woolies fuel discounts, But everyone says Independents are cheaper I have yet to see an Independent or 7/11 in my area be cheaper without the 4c off vouchers from the giants.

        • I have yet to see an Independent or 7/11 in my area be cheaper without the 4c off vouchers from the giants.

So what you're wanting them to do, rather than be 2 cpl cheaper than the duopoly to start with, is take another 3 cents off their price to beat the docket price, without the requirement to spend $30 to $100 in their store first to get it?

        • No I was just saying I see independents selling fuel at the same price or even slightly more expansive compared to the duopoly even without the fuel discounts.

And therefore I find it odd when people say that they are in fact cheaper than the duopoly without the discounts.

        • I buy my petrol from United, they have cheap prices, their 10% ethanol petrol is the same price or cheaper than the 4c discountd Coles/Woolworths fuel.

For the work car I buy BP petrol.

I try and avoid Coles and Woolworths.

I used to buy Mobile, so now sometimes I also get 7/11

  • Is this victoria only?

apparently they had half a million pallets of 24 pack coke in coles warehouses in victoria.

Because we all stocked up on the Officeworks offer and haven't bought any since.

    • I would assume nationwide for most catalogue deals but will update if it's not when the catalogues are put online.

  • Obesity, here I come !!!!

    • Coke Zero here I come!

  • Haven't seen this price for long, though I don't drink coke.

    OW beat another 5%?

Not this price in SA, due to the container deposit scheme we get ripped off (10 cents per unit deposit but cans are generally 80 cents each absolute cheapest, and can't remember seeing this price this year).

    • It's $14.27 for 24 cans (60c each) in SA which isn't terrible.
If you return the cans it's $11.87 (50c each)

      • +1

Yes, so we don't get ripped off in SA, as pakkapie suggested. We actually get them cheaper than other states, which is usually the case with deals such as these for Coke and Pepsi. Coles also has the Pepsi 15-packs this week for half price, which as usual, makes them cheaper per can than this Coke deal.

      Wrong on so many levels…

Not this price in SA, due to the container deposit scheme we get ripped off (10 cents per unit deposit

Price is 60c/can in SA (opposed to 54c/can in other states). If you return the can its actually 50c/can ( 4c/can cheaper than other states)

cans are generally 80 cents each absolute cheapest, and can't remember seeing this price this year

Coke/Fanta/Sprite was $12.45/24 pack this year (available in SA, making them 51c/can before deposit, 41c/can after deposit) - see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/89809

I wish they did a 24 pack that was half Coke and half Coke Zero. I'd like to buy this but I don't want all the diabetus:(.

  • damn i just bought 24x330ml @ kmart for $15 -_-

so just 54 cents per can people can gain a 2 in 1 deal, obesity and diabetes, but wait there's more not only do you get those 2 but you get it with fluoride and chlorine, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee always coca cola looking after their customers giving them this mixture of sugar chlorine preservatives fluoride. and toxic artificial sweetener potential cancer-causing agent Acesulfame-K (acesulfame potassium) in their coke zero variety not to mention Aspartame used in Diet Coke. Other crap they put in coke are : Neotame (dimethylbutyl), Saccharin, Cyclamate, Sucralose (E955), Maltodextrin, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Alitame. Remember in some coke varieties there can be over 40 grams of sugar, equivalent to 8 to 10 teaspoons.

    • +1

Mmm, yum… 8 to 10 teaspoons of sugar.

    • 'High Fructose Corn Syrup'
They do NOT put that in Australian Coke (or any other of their soft drinks).

      • Yeah it tastes like crap too, I hate american soft drink.

Give me good ol cane sugar any day !

    • I'm not sticking up for Coca Cola.
But it boggles me why people flame a bargain post based on health benefits when everyone knows this is not a health food.

So you are arguing about personal preference. I'm sure you buy things everyone else could rip into also.

So what did you think about the change in price from the normal selling price?

    • People who post stuff like this on food deals (like a lot of the fast food chain deals), seriously, bag the deal not the product. There are always going to be people who disagree with you and actually enjoy this stuff, hence no one wants to be preached to about how evil it is.

Anywho, good price without having to buy the Woolies deal :)

  • Anyone know what the equivalent special is for Adelaide?

    • +2

      $14.27 for 24 cans (60c each)

      • +1

Considering you get the 10 cents back here it makes it a better deal.

  • +1

Aww man… I just bought the Woolies deal thinking it was the best I was going to get for a while. Oh well, more Coke for me. Better buy more bourbon too then. Poor me. ;)

  • I just bought 30% off
I am going to return it on 7 aug

  • Damn, I bought in at $.57. I guess one could always buy more. Not like its going to go off.

  • Sorry for hijacking this but anyone know where I can buy 6 or 12 pack of glass bottle Cola? Fair price of course.
