Adrenalin Supercar Drive Day Sydney to Central Coast 42% off, $557.58 with Additional Promo Code

101
GA75OFF

I know this deal won't be for many people at all, but with Father's Day just around the corner, this is quite a unique gift idea and would be highly memorable, as the person gets to spend several hours driving some of the worlds most expensive supercars.

It is a pretty good deal especially if you are splitting the cost between several siblings and possibly other relatives. I have purchased similar Supercar Drive Days for friends in the past and have cost nearly $1500.

This is a Father's Day special that Adrenalin are doing, normally costing $1035, but now 42% off. From experience, this is the biggest discount they have done for this experience and the discounts are usually much less generous.

You can get a further 7.5% discount by applying the Google AdWords promo code GA75OFF. This promo seems to work for anything on the site but I cannot confirm this 100%.

There are many, many other driving deals like the 50% off rally driving laps, but I see those on big special very frequently. Other fun experiences for Father's Day available, or even just for yourself. Don't forget to add the 7.5% promo code (like I would need to tell an OzBargainer)!

Great deal if you ask me, too bad it's from Sydney or I would get it for my uncle

  • seems like a great deal!

if only i could afford it :(

  • Yeah I would be tempted if I lived in Sydney, a year ago I did the Exotics Racing in Vegas and drove 3 different supercars and it was amazing, but it was on a race track. Not sure how much more fun this would be than regular car (i.e WRX or F6) on the same roads as it is on the public road and how hard will they let you go?

  • Anyone know the route they use to go sydney to central coast and back?

    • there is a group that goes through the royal national park down south for lunch

  • Exotic cars in Australia really doesn't sound to be worth it. There aren't any autobahns to let go a bit or beautiful winding roads around lush mountain/country side that you can get in Europe to just cruise in.

  • Did a similar one here in Melb. For the day we had a Ferrari, SLS AMG, Porsche 911 turbo, Aston Martin Vantage, Elise and Audi R8. Had a winery lunch and we we allowed to go pretty hard. Tour leader was in a lead car and he said when I accelerate, do what you want. He knew the area and we topped around 220KM/H in some spots.

    (Public property of course…)

Most people will claim they did it on private property where there is no speed limit and no danger to the general public, but good to see you're honest I suppose?

    • How much did it cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

      Cheers,

  • Would help to put the vehicles you can drive in question, in the description:

    • Ferrari F430 F1
    • Lamborghini Gallardo LP550
    • Audi R8
    • Lotus Elise Club Racer
    • Aston Martin Roadster
    • Porsche 911 997 Carrera

Last time I bought a voucher at adrenalin.com.au the company went into administration and my voucher was worthless. Yet they spring back up and start trading again!! Never again. Buyer beware!

    • It means the administrators managed to keep the business running. Usually they can't do that and bankruptcy is declared. Overall I'd say if they kept it running that's a good thing.

Sure, you lost. The customers have the least protection because the debtors that provide the loan to start/run the business naturally have their claim protected as a priority.

Before you ask, I've lost to a company that went bankrupt. Probably lost similar or more than you did. That's just how it is. Painful, but understandable. The only frustrating part is when a company defaults because of illegal forms of mismanagement - the managers tend to get away unharmed since sueing them for their personal assets tends to cost more than the assets are worth.

Point taken, though: send them your business, but buy the adventure just prior to using it. Don't buy vouchers.

I got caught with a voucher for another tourism operator who also went bust. Luckily I only lost $40 that time. I dont buy vouchers for online tourism businesses anymore unless I'm going to use them immediately.

My experience with adrenalin.com.au was quite painful because I tried to use the voucher on the day that it went bust and no-one could tell me whether the voucher would be honoured so my travel plans were up in the air. Then for two years afterwards I got occasional emails from the administrator giving me false hope that I'd get at least some of my money back. In the end I got nothing.

        • Did you try a chargeback on your credit card?

        • young_dazza needs a 28 Degrees Master Card with Shopper Protection it seems

  • Doesn't seem like too bad of a deal, pity it isn't the private track day though. Would anyone know how insurance works in the event of an accident and being the cars are two seater, do you take turns between passenger and driver with a random?

    • dunno about this deal but from memory - insurance for one of these supercar days is free but $5000 excess if you have an accident.

edit: ok this deal says $2k bond - but not sure if that means thats the full excess in event of accident.

  • Hows this for a father's day idea. Take your family in your family car drive to central coast have lunch and drive back, instead of paying more than $500 to spend a day with strangers driving cars which you can never afford.

Clearly you're one of the people that this isn't for. Some people love cars and as you said, this is the closest most people will get to owning one. It's a present. It's unique. It's one of those things that you would never pay for yourself as you'd rather spend your money elsewhere, but would love as a gift. Some people can afford expensive gifts. Some obviously cannot.

And I can and do take my family in the family car on trips any day I want. I don't need to wait for a special occasion to spend quality time with them.

  • I did this about a year ago, was an absolute hoot. Some of the cars have had tough lives. My faves were the lamborghini and the lotus.

The Ferrari broke down on our one :(

  • Check their website. Sportscarworld. Direct usual price is $649.

  • Always fancied this one - have seen it for $499 on group shopping sites before - but not for a while
