  • after register, how can we get the card?

    • go in store, try the shoes, show them you're a season pass member and ask for it.

or if you mean the season pass card, it gets sent to you if you register online, if in store, they give it to you. But you should be able to print a temp card or at least use the membership number.

      • i meant the membership card not itunes but i think same thing. ok will try the shoes on monday

  • Got the $10 Gift Card. Easy as.

You don't need to register before.
If you have, they just scan it, and give you the gift card!

    meh…too much effort involved

This breaches the Ozbargain code of conduct.

Because every bargain requires an effort.

Can you get multiple on one account?

  • how much are these shoes in store?

    • Top tier
Adistar boost (arch support) is $220
Energy boost (no-arch support) is $180

      Second tier
Sonic boost (no-arch support, model below Energy boost) is $160

More models are announced but I'm not sure when they will be in stock.

Source: I sell shoes there, I'm NOT an official rep. I'm happy to answer any questions about footwear though. I wont be able to respond (publicly) to online prices not associated with rebelsport, you guys should know where to get the cheapest anyway :), but the cheapest prices most likely wont come with testrun28, which is adidas' guarantee of ifyoudontlikeitbringitbackforafullrefund, not that you'd need it with the boost range.

Do you get pissed off when customers come in, try heaps of shoes only so they'll know which to buy online?

        • +3

          No I don't get pissed.
I just give priority to those who are willing to pay in-store (highrollers in suits who don't like to wait for shoes in the mail). The showroom shoppers understand exactly what they're doing, and most won't be mad that I'm giving more attention to other customers, but still bringing out their requested 5 pairs of shoes for them, with a smile. I will be annoyed though, if the blatant showroom shopper is being very demanding in an unpleasant way. Personally, I would still provide the customer service as though they weren't a showroom shopper, I understand and acknowledge global prices, to cry about it is just being plain stupid and ignorant (cough G.Harvey cough), so I get why people might showroom shop. Please just don't be rude when you do it and I'm more than happy to serve you just like any other customer.

I bought a pair of the Adistar Boost a while ago to encourage me to run in the Adelaide City-Bay next month (from Wiggle - $129.44 delivered - they seem to only stock the women's version now). I must say they are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn. But unfortunately I don't think they are going to last me very long. All my training is off road along creek paths near my house, and the plastic torsion system on the sole is getting hacked up by all the gravel, stones, rocks, sticks and whatever else I run over. I should have kept these for road running only.

  • Great deal. Tried them on and wanted to buy, but they've run out of the black in my size! Boo!

    • Colour schemes stocked by Rebel Sport
First generation [Limited]: Black/Yellow Adistar, Black/Yellow Energy Boost
Second generation: Blue/Lime Adistar, Lime/Black Energy Boost
Third generation: Grey/Lime Adistar, Black/Red Energy Boost
N.B. All generations are structurally identical.

First generation would be almost phased out by now, second generation is the one that most stores have, third generation of colours are just coming in, they came in two days ago to the store I work at.
      Hope that helps!

      • Thanks for that. Yeah the guy explained a similar story to me. There is one pair left of the colour I want but it's 3 hours away. What do you think my chances are of getting them to do a phone order? Apparently Rebel don't do interstore transfers for old stock.

Apparently Rebel don't do interstore transfers for old stock.

I would do it if the customer is absolutely sure on the size.
Reason why some are reluctant to do it is:
-Old stock is usually marked down [not sure about Boost though], if the customer orders in the wrong size, they would be stuck with a random pair of old shoes, with no size range. Courier fees aren't cheap and reduces overall profit (It's a business, not a charity).
-It is also up to the sending store, unless it's a rural store, it should have been okay.

Personally I hate the second generation of colours, First and Third generation of colours look pretty good :)

If you really want the old colours, I suggest you look online, or if you want the peace of mind for the warranty against abnormal defects and the testrun28 benefit, it may be a good idea to wait for the third batch of Boost series to roll in :)

Quick question: Was the Adidas Boost shoe you wanted, marked down at all? I haven't seen them being marked down.

  • Tried them on today, and received the $10, staff where friends and happy to hand over the voucher knowing I had no intent to buy the shoes. Took about 15 min in store.

Though must say, it is a good marketing ploy, I am now keen to buy the shoes. They also offer 28 days return on the shoes and another $20 gift card, so if you have the money in your bank to front a $215 dollar purchase, you can hold the shoes for a couple of days and return them for a total of $30 iTunes. Also confirmed voucher works in the App Store and on Candy Crush :)

  • Tried it on but no itune card was given as the staff seemed not happy for this promotion, so not bother to ask for the card.

You need to signup (free) at counter for Rebel Sport Season Pass
Or you can ask for the iTunes card after trying on the Boost shoe (Footwear guy should have taken you to the counter for signup)
Whoever served you should have given it to you, it's not like it costs them anything.
