  Dick Smith online ordering and service is terrible! My stuff never came, and they don't respond to emails.

  I had to open a Paypal dispute before I got my money back.

  Beware of Dick Smith online.

    Yes also why I dislike dick smith… For those that want to risk it
    Please please pay with PayPal , that way you can always claim money back without waiting for their appalling customer service

        Oh I didn't realize that, that's pretty poor form.

        Nothing will change. Now it will be chargebacks directly through the credit card providers.

    That happened to me as well. I had to call multiple times to find out what was happening with my order. Each time they lied and said it would go out the same day i spoke to them. It never did and i got a refund (which took time to get as well)

    Never had an issue with any online orders I've made getting to me, of which I've made a few. Thats not to take away from any one else's problems, just to say if I was to be asked I'd have no personal reason not to recommend them.

    Sometimes I do find their site to be less than perfect (especially the checkout), but if I get past the payment then my items always arrive ok.

  They sent me a Trend Micro Internet Security Product without a product key and I had to make more than 15 calls to get them to replace it. I am still waiting to get the replacement delivered to me, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Their call centre is always busy and they lie to you on the phone as previous Ozbargainers have confirmed in this post. It is very hard to get through to them over the phone.

  I assume even if you pay with your credit card, you can still ask your credit card company to charge back due to non-receipt of order. I know it takes 6 weeks to get the chargeback issue sorted by your credit card provider which takes time and efforts and a lot of frustration. But Dicksmith's third class customer service cannot be forgiven due to any and every reason. We all thought that they will be closing down the stores, however they are opening new stores just like they opened a new one in Pitt Street Westfield, Sydney, NSW 2000. So their business is performing well that allows them to expand it further.

  I thought they hid out in New Zealand these days - avoiding oz trading laws like pondscum…….dunno whats bad about inserting buyer beware warning on this site cuz they are so shonky.

  Wow, I've had a great run with them. Not a single problem with shipping. Have brought everything from eneloops to digital radios.
